Gaurav Gupta Couture debuts at The Met Gala with Mindy Kaling

This week’s luxury updates are incomplete without a mention of the Met Gala. After being spotted at the red carpet of almost all illustrious events, couturier Gaurav Gupta made his Met Gala debut with Mindy Kaling. The creation, unveiled was titled The Melting Flower of Time. The dress was inspired by  J.G. Ballard’s short story The Garden of Time. The gown was meticulously crafted to look like a fully bloomed flower. It had a central bud and delicate petals which were intricately designed to give the impression of melting. The color of the gown, which was reminiscent of a weathered flower, only added to its allure. And,the petals, represented the fleeting beauty of nature, softly mimicking the cycles of nature as they melt down with time from the gown’s detailed structure.

Inspired by the sea, the new Tiffany & Co. collaboration with Pharrell Williams, Tiffany Titan, is one that has captivated our gaze. This jewellery collection features 19 pieces that include necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings. Each design has spiked edges that reference Poseidon’s trident.  The collection brings together contrasting elements, by combining the sharp spikes of the trident motif with curved links, creating a dialogue between tension and harmony. It comprises a range of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings, offered in either 18k yellow gold or titanium, and studded with reverse-set diamonds for added brilliance. The unexpected design twists, from the use of titanium to the pavilion-exposing diamond settings, challenge traditional jewellery norms and make a daring statement. The most expensive piece in the collection is a necklace worth $55,000 USD, made of 18k yellow gold with pave diamonds in the shape of a spear. Other pieces include a clasp necklace worth $39,000 USD, a link bracelet worth $26,000 USD, and a five-row ring worth $16,500 USD. The collection also features titanium earrings and pendants that provide a dark contrast to the expensive jewels.

Introducing the Mercedes Benz AMG CLE53 Cabriolet

Luxury updates in the world of motors and cars? It’s from none other than Mercedes AMG. The brand has recently launched its new 2025 CLE53 Cabriolet, which is equipped with a powerful engine. This four-wheel drive convertible features a turbocharged 4.3-liter inline-six and a 48-volt electric compressor that produces 443 horsepower and 413 ft lbs of torque. As a result, the car can go from zero to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. Although this is slightly slower compared to the CLE53 coupe’s record of 4.0 seconds, the AMG Dynamic Plus package can reduce the time by 0.2 seconds with its Race Start launch control function.
