Inside, the upholstery of the car has been made out of renewable materials, with a sophisticated rose gold finish. Features such as the widescreen cockpit, black panel radiator grill, LED strip light on the front and rear combine with the cutting-edge MBUX intuitive system for a superb infotainment system. The tech design also features a natural voice control and touch sensitive surfaces.
For high-level safety of the driver and occupants in the car, Merc’s EQC is fitted with seven airbags, Active Brake and attention assist, PRE-SAFER system and electronic stability program (ESP).
“We are glad to pioneer a new segment in India, that of the Luxury EV and are excited to launch this car for our discerning customers in India who always wanted a practical electric car with a long range, which is very stylish and fun to drive, laden with the latest generation intuitive technology, extremely safe, has zero tailpipe emission, and -most importantly- a pure Mercedes.” Said Schwenk.
He added, “Our objective is to put our combined experience and understanding of the Indian market and customers behind the EQC, and create a long-term, worry-free, sustainable and green mobility ecosystem in India. The EQC will become a torch-bearer towards sustainable luxury in India.”
