First look of Mercedes-Benz India’s two new cars priced ₹2.48 crore and ₹1.33 crore respectively
German luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz India added two more cars to its coveted high-performance AMG line-up— the AMG C 63 Coupé and the AMG GT R Coupé, today.
These two power cars were virtually launched at the company’s Centre of Excellence in Pune by Martin Schwenk, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.
At the launch, Martin Schwenk, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “With a strong market presence, supported by a wide portfolio of performance cars and a dedicated retail network, our AMG strategy has helped us in cementing our market leadership in the luxury performance car segment. Encouraging customer demand for our top-end AMGs emerging both from the metro and the non-metro markets validates our efforts to introduce new products in the performance segment.”

The introduction of these two new AMGs highlights the company’s stronghold in the performance car segment, which grew at a robust 54 per cent in 2019.

Powered by a 4-litre V8 bi-turbo engine that produces 476 hp, the C 63 Coupé goes from 0 to 100km in 4 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h. The car is a blend of luxury, performance and design with bold exteriors and plush interiors.

The AMG GT R Coupé is a thoroughbred sports car and has been powered by a 4-litre bi-turbo V8 engine that produces 585 hp. Ths beast takes 3.6 seconds to go from 0 to 100km and has a top speed of 318km/h. This power-packed model has all of Mercedes-Benz’s motor-racing knowhow and the focus is solely towards performance.
