Must watch: Indian luxury’s young, talented leaders discuss new business ideas and solutions
At LuxeBook India Magazine, for our online webinar series – Luxe Virtual – we had a riveting discussion on new business ideas and solutions with extremely talented young leaders, Amruda Nair, Karyna Bajaj, Krésha Bajaj and Rachel Goenka.
They discussed, in detail, the lessons they learnt in the pandemic, changed consumer behaviour and new business initiatives.
Nair, Director KA Hospitality, spoke about new sanitization practices in her resort and the importance of training the staff members. Although, she was against the idea of reducing prices to attract consumers. “It’s, after all, a luxury property. We don’t compromise on the quality and must not compromise on the price as well.”
Karyna, Executive Director of KA Hospitality, spoke about curating special dinners for people at home, complete with cutlery and decor. She is also working on launching her brand’s stand-alone delivery platform.
For Kresha, Creative Director of her eponymous fashion label, online consultations have been getting her brand good traction and she also plans to introduce virtual try-outs of her various lehengas. But as her brand is all about ‘experience’, she admits that it is difficult to replicate that same kind of store vibe at home. She has started inviting brides to her store to shop, but with stringent sanitization norms.
Goenka, Founder and CEO of The Chocolate Spoon Company, has also been busy designing a new burger menu, in food delivery and getting new processes in place.
To sum it up, it is time to rethink and learn and unlearn and innovate, and, hopefully, things will be better soon.
