This makes ALD’s third outing with the German automaker. Following their initial 2020 Porsche 964 collab, the two aligned again in 2021, resto modding a 911.This time they wind the clock back a bit using the 356 which was produced from 1948 to 1965 with this one appearing to be a 1960s model that references pins spotted in a lookbook earlier this year from ALD. The Aime Leon Dore 356 will be on display at 224 Mulberry starting this Friday, May 5th.

Some homes, like the Kenzo House, offer a slice of history, a taste of architecture that not only inspires but offers a sense of peace and tranquillity. The Kenzo House was built by the late Paris-based Japanese fashion designer Kenzo Takada in 1993 and redesigned in 2018 by celebrated architect Kengo Kuma. The 13,778-square-foot, four-story home is hidden far from view in the courtyard of an 18th-century residential building in the city’s historic Bastille district, a quiet, fashionable enclave of the Rive Gauche.  Built around its own interior courtyard, the cedar-clad residence is anchored to nature by landscaped terraces on an authentic Japanese garden with a stone-studded pond stocked with Nishiki carp. The original project took about seven years to complete. A redesign by architect Kengo Kuma followed in 2018.

The collection was a display of sport-meets-chic with textural interplay. In the Louis Vuitton show’s notes, Ghesquière made a point to emphasize his personal relationship with South Korean entertainment. LV recruited Squid Games director Hwang Dong-Hyuk to stage the Pre-Fall 2023 runway’s scenography, and the Netflix show’s star, Hoyeon Jung, opened the show. More recently, the French luxury house enlisted Hyein, NewJeans K-Popstar, as a Louis Vuitton ambassador. Now that’s one of the news highlights to watch out for.

Mishru by Swapna Anumolu has a news highlight for the week. The designer has opened her first flagship store in the Capital City at DLF Emporio. The store unveils her latest collection titled ‘Form & Feeling’, which draws on nature as its ultimate muse. A delicate balance of femininity and tailored strength, the collection features colours, shapes, and forms inspired by the natural world. From lehengas to jackets, for those who savour the playfulness and lightness of stunning designs.
The Mishru flagship store in New Delhi is a space that embodies serenity, sophistication and a seamless blend of traditional and contemporary elements.  The design concept revolves around the idea of an art gallery, keeping muted, the surfaces textured but muted allowing the clothing to take centre stage. One of the distinctive features of the design is the lattice partition, which adds a touch of traditional Indian architecture to the space, although in a modern cement avatar.“Our design philosophy at Mishru starts with a few keywords: subtlety, lightness, and surprise. The embroidery is exceptionally detailed, typically in an unusual relief colour complements of off-white pearls and glass beads which compliments the collection’s sublime colour palette”, says Swapna.

McLaren’s latest offering, the 750S, has arrived, and it is the lightest and most powerful series-production McLaren ever. The vehicle has been developed under new CEO Michael Leiters, who cut his teeth at Porsche before becoming chief technical officer at Ferrari. The 750S doesn’t have any of the Artura’s plug-in hybrid tech, making it “unashamedly a car for the internal-combustion-engine purist,” according to McLaren’s PR boss Piers Scott. The vehicle is based on McLaren’s ultra-rigid Monocage II-S carbon-fibre chassis and is available in coupe and spider configurations. The latter version is 108 pounds heavier and 0.2 seconds slower over a quarter-mile, but it counters with a retractable hard-top that opens in 11 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph. The 750S uses the latest generation of McLaren’s interlinked hydraulic suspension, featuring revised geometry and new lightweight springs and dampers. With zero to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 10.1 seconds, the 750S is an impressive vehicle that promises a high level of engagement, better balance, and improved steering feedback.
