Oberoi Concours d’Elegance to take place in February 2024

Oberoi Hotels & Resorts announced that the Oberoi Concours d’Elegance is set to take place at The Oberoi Udaivilãs in February 2024.

Oberoi Hotels and Resorts has reflected its commitment to promoting and preserving Indian heritage by hosting prestigious classic and vintage car rallies around its award-winning properties. Showcasing some of the finest vintage and classic automobiles and motorcycles, the Oberoi Concours d’Elegance aims to set a new benchmark with marvels from India as well as international automobiles.

Set against the pristine backdrop of Lake Pichola and the traditional domed architecture of the resort, The Oberoi Concours d’Elegance will celebrate the remarkable design and craftsmanship of the world’s most sought-after and distinctive vehicles. Owned by Indian royalty and private collectors, the Concours will be a unique opportunity to view some of the rarest and most historically significant automobiles that have been restored and preserved over generations.

Heading the event is India’s leading automotive historian, Mr Manvendra Singh Barwani. A renowned and respected automotive historian, Singh founded India’s first vintage and classic car restoration workshop in 1978. He was a founding member of the Vintage and Classic Car Club of India, who conceived and then served as Curator for the Cartier Travel with Style Concours d’Elegance.

“The Oberoi Concours d’Elegance will take the heritage of automobile culture and the history of India to an international level, showcasing the finest vintage and classic automobiles and motorcycles. Moreover, with Indian restoration work on par with international standards, we can compete with international entries on our home stage,” Singh added.

In addition to Manvendra Singh, a distinguished panel of classic car cognoscenti will also be present who will judge the cars and motorcycles as per different classifications. Sandra Button, Chairman of the prestigious and globally renowned Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, will serve as Chief Judge for the event. Button is one of the most influential people in the classic car world today, serving as the Chairman of the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
