Come October, food enthusiasts around the world eagerly wait to book their flights to visit the highly coveted Oktoberfest (a beer and food festival in Germany) celebrations in German. After two long years, Oktoberfest is back, and if you can’t make your way to Germany, it’s time to get into the celebratory spirit in your city. It’s not only about food and beer, Independence Brewing Company goes above and beyond with special Oktoberfest preparations. The menu offers traditional dishes like Reibekuchen und Spargel (potato pancakes with asparagus); German Maultaschen (stuffed pasta with rocket and pear salad); German stout lamb stew; grilled pork sausage platter; tenderloin roulade and German carrot cake. Adding to the fun are a range of beers, including three new German beers, the Marzen ‘Munich Mischief;’ NEIPA ‘Maverick;’ and the FGS Syndicate Saison; as well as California Fanboi; and Brews Wayne. And that’s not all going beyond, IBC will also offer fun, beer-drinking games such as Beer Ludo, other beer-themed board games, and Oktoberfest-themed décor.
