OTT: 13 new releases on October 13. Get set to binge-watch!

It’s going to be a fun-filled weekend ahead if you’re movie lover. In early October, we saw a whole slew of OTT releases – from well-known filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj’s movie Khufiya that dropped on Netflix on October 5 and Mumbai Diaries 2 by Nikhil Advani that scorched the screen, plus the cat-and-mouse thriller Lupin, Marvel’s Loki – season 2, Jurassic World: Dominion and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, among others.
If you thought that was chock full of entertainment, get set for the second half of October, too. What’s more, 13 releases are scheduled for October 13th itself, so earmark that day if you like to binge watch. It’s going to be one wild ride with fabulous content set to wow you on different OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon, Lionsgate Play,  Disney+ Hotstar, Sony Liv, etc. Grab the popcorn get cosy on the sofa and press play on the remote!

This Milan Luthria-directed Hindi web series, based on the book Sultan of Delhi: Ascension by Arnab Ray, takes you on a gripping ride through the world of powerplay and politics.
Past Lives, Lionsgate Play
Directed by Celine Song, this Korean film unravels the beautiful tale of two best friends who are separates when one goes away to America. A decade later, life comes full circle.

If you haven’t caught this movie franchise on little kids who play super spies, do so now as Spy Kids, Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams & Spy Kids 3: Game Over arrives on Netflix. Makes for an adventurous watch.
Mark Antony (Tamil), Amazon Prime Video
This Vishal and Vishal and SJ Suryah starrer is a cool sci-fi adventure set in the 90s, where Mark (Vishal), the son of Antony (also played by him), comes upon a special telephone that allows him to get in touch with people in his past. He uncovers secrets and the real motives of his guardian Jackie (played by SJ Suryah).
Kasargold (Malayalam), Netflix

Action film lovers will enjoy this Malayalam film as it chases Alby, a young gold smuggler and his friends, trying to make a fortune.

Everybody Loves Diamonds, Season 1, Prime

Who doesn’t love a clever heist film, right? This one chases a small group of Italian thieves who manage to overcome high security barrier to steal precious stones worth millions from the Antwerp Diamond Centre.

The Tommy Lee Jones and Jamie Foxx starrer is inspired by true events. The film centres around a lawyer who helps a funeral home owner save his family business from a corporate giant, revealing the underside of power.

Anime lovers, this is for you! It follows Tetsuji Tamayama, the much loved fictional character from the manga series Lupin III, who’s known as the world’s best gunman—Jigen Daisuke.

A completely entertaining film, it follows two kids who aspire to boarding a flight one day and try all they can to achieve this.
