Queens Drive Club makes its Mumbai debut with sixth edition

There is something inherently cinematic about a convoy of supercars making its way through Bombay. But when the drivers are an all women collective and the destination is bigger than the drive itself, the spectacle takes on a different meaning.

On September 6, Queens Drive Club (QDC) made its Mumbai debut, bringing together more than 70 women across business, entrepreneurship, sport and the arts for a drive dedicated to cancer awareness. Founded by Ritika Jatin Ahuja  COO of Big Boy Toyz, QDC has grown from an automotive community into a platform where luxury, leadership, camaraderie and social impact intersect. LuxeBook recently caught up with Ahuja for an exclusive conversation on her journey, watches and the making of QDC.

Horsepower meets real power

Flagged off by Chief Guest Amruta Fadnavis at Bastian Beach Club, Juhu, the Mumbai edition marked QDC’s sixth drive in India and its first in the city. More than an automotive gathering, it brought together women united by a shared affinity for supercars while creating space for conversations around a cause that reaches far beyond the world of luxury.

The initiative was undertaken in partnership with PATH Foundation, with support from V Care Foundation. Members contributed towards comprehensive cancer treatment, chemotherapy sessions, palliative care and meal support for patients in need. QDC has also committed to sponsoring one lakh chemotherapy treatments in partnership with PATH Foundation, taking the initiative beyond awareness and into tangible support.

With more than 100 members, QDC represents a changing portrait of the luxury automotive community. Here, the supercar is not simply the object of desire. It becomes the starting point for connection, conversation and collective action.

For Ahuja, the Mumbai drive was an extension of that philosophy. What began as a community built around automobiles has evolved into a network of women from different professional and creative worlds, creating opportunities to connect through curated drives, automotive experiences and community led initiatives. The result is a distinctly contemporary take on automotive luxury: less about who owns the most extraordinary machine and more about what a powerful community can do once it comes together.

The drive culminated in a brunch and panel discussion at Bastian Beach Club, where cancer survivors Chhavi Mittal and Tannishtha Chatterjee joined a conversation moderated by Sakshi Agrawal, Founder of PATH Foundation. Their lived experiences brought a more personal dimension to the day, opening conversations around cancer, early detection, treatment and the need to make discussions around the disease less stigmatised.

The presence of survivors shifted the focus from statistics to stories, reminding guests that awareness becomes meaningful when it translates into empathy, action and support.

Bombay gets behind the wheel

The Mumbai edition also brought together personalities including Seema Singh and Mehreen Gandhi, alongside QDC members and supporters of the initiative.

Hosted at Bastian Beach Club with the support of Ranjit Bindra, Founder and CEO of Bastian Hospitality, the event brought together two very different expressions of Bombay luxury: the theatre of high performance automobiles and the city’s appetite for culture, community and conversation. And perhaps that is where QDC’s proposition feels most relevant. Luxury is increasingly being measured not merely by what one can own, but by the communities one can build and the impact those communities can create.

For Queens Drive Club, the road ahead is therefore about more than supercars. It is about putting women firmly in the driver’s seat and giving the journey a purpose.
