When you thought it couldn’t get more bizarre, more luxe and even more blinged-out, Rihanna strikes back. Months after her appearance at Pharell’s Louis Vuitton show with a stellar Jacob and Co. piece around her neck priced at a whopping $700k, the star has become the talk of town with another iconic piece by the luxury brand. At the Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix, Rihanna was spotted wearing a Jacob & Co. custom watch worth $400k as an anklet.

The glistening piece of fine jewellery is a testament to timepieces that seamlessly blur the lines between jewellery and watches. Speaking about the iconic piece, Rihanna’s custom watch anklet featured 70 carats of round and emerald diamonds that were set in 18K white gold. The watch anklet features three rows of diamonds as the strap while the entirety of the watch face is covered in diamonds.

Moving to her fashion sense, she styled the piece over a pair of black Balenciaga pantaleggings ($4,550), with the dark fabric showcasing the incredible accessory. On top, she styled a plethora of fresh-off-the-runway pieces from Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, including an oversized leather jacket. Underneath the statement outerwear was a zip-up hoodie, also from the brand. She also flaunted her lacy lingerie by leaving her sweatshirt half-zipped. Rihanna teamed an all-black ensemble with this diamond-encrusted Jacob and Co. custom watch anklet as her statement piece.

By wearing this piece, once again the duo’s relationship has been further cemented. This is not the first time the Diamonds singer has teamed up with Jacob & Co. Back in June, she wore one of the watchmaker’s pieces around her neck during Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton debut fashion show in Paris. The Brilliant Flying Tourbillon was crafted from white gold and set with a total of 368 diamonds, no less. The watch necklace is priced at $700,000.
While the traditional way of wearing watches is still alive, timepieces are going beyond just the basics.
