Rosewood London Launches Ski-Inspired Winter Terrace
Planning an escape to London this winter beyond the obvious chocolate-covered strawberries, Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, or Oxford Street’s festive shopping? If you’re looking for something a little more elevated, news has it that Rosewood London’s The Chalet now offers an alpine-inspired terrace where city sophistication meets cozy ski-lodge charm, complete with curated décor, fireside cocktails, and indulgent winter treats.

An immersive alpine-inspired winter terrace running from November 25, 2025, through February 2026 has been created to make you feel like you are amidst a ski paradise even in a metropolitan city minus the slopes. The terrace transforms the hotel’s iconic courtyard into a sophisticated urban mountain retreat, combining Rosewood’s signature experiential hospitality with the elevated alpine style of Amsterdam-based luxury ski brand Goldbergh and premium whisky partner The Singleton Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Designed as a contemporary ski lodge, The Chalet features curated wooden elements, a warm neutral palette, and Goldbergh’s signature gold accents. Luxury blankets, custom cushions, and thoughtful décor create an atmosphere of cozy elegance, while the Rosewood terrace team embodies the alpine aesthetic wearing pieces from Goldbergh’s Gold Exclusive collection.
This London activation complements Rosewood’s alpine presence in Courchevel, linking the city and French Alps properties through shared design and lifestyle concepts.

The chalet-inspired cocktail program, crafted with The Singleton, includes signature drinks such as I Shine Not Burn, blending Singleton 18-year with Oloroso, Madeira, Marsala, Port, vermouth, and smoked moss, and Jock’s Well Hot Toddy, featuring Singleton 12-year with beurre noisette, chamomile, heather honey, and shortbread. Whisky enthusiasts can also experience the exclusive Singleton 21-year serve ritual, a rare opportunity to savour this premium expression.

The winter menu evokes the convivial spirit of alpine dining with refined touches. Guests can enjoy French Onion Soup with toasted baguette and Gruyère, Baked Camembert with confit garlic, walnut, honey, and thyme, Wine-Braised Short Ribs atop caramelised celeriac purée, and Tartiflette, a classic Savoyard potato gratin with Reblochon and smoked bacon. The meal concludes with a Chestnut Mont Blanc, offering a sweetly sophisticated finale.

The Chalet is open daily from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Rosewood London, 252 High Holborn, WC1V 7EN, inviting guests and Londoners to experience a curated alpine escape in the heart of the city.
