Sales of robotic vacuum cleaners have been steadily rising across the world due to the pandemic. The additional home chores and the need to maintain the highest level of hygiene have prompted people to opt for work cleaning robots. These robots definitely take longer to clean, but it frees up your time to focus on other activities.
India-based Milagrow HumanTech has witnessed 15-20 per cent surge in demand for its cleaning robots, particularly their floor disinfection cleaning robot IMAP 9 in the last one and a half months.
Popular models across brands are flying off the shelves and websites and some are running out of stock.

iRobot Roomba i7

Developed by iRobot, the leading global consumer robot company, the Roomba i7 is guided by Imprint Smart Mapping technology that determines the best way to clean a space. It has a three-stage cleaning system with dual Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes and 10x suction, which removes everything from fine dust to large debris. It also picks up pet hair.
It can be operated via the iRobot Home App or through Alexa or Google Assistant-enabled devices. The Roomba i7+ variant comes with a Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal, which empties the collected dirt into a disposable bag that can hold 30 bins worth of dirt and dust.
It has a battery run time of 75 minutes on a full charge. You can also feed in ‘keep out’ zones if they are any areas you would like the Roomba to avoid.

Milagrow IMap 9.0 Wet & Dry

It claims to be India’s fastest live mapping and self-navigating floor robot. The robot uses a patented Real-Time Terrain Recognition Technology (RT2RT) to map your house and move about efficiently. It has Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) Lidar that helps it map the terrain with a 360-degree view.
The robot can be controlled using the TuyaSmart app. After cleaning one room, it goes to another room without assistance. If the battery dies mid-way it remembers where it left off and resumes from that point, post recharging. A full battery charge lasts 60 minutes. You can also instruct it to clean a particular spot in the house and add disinfectant for the wet round. Milagrow has also launched an indoor disinfection robocop for commercial spaces.

iLife Robotic Vacuum Cleaner X620

This model comes with an anti-scratch tempered glass cover for protection, an infrared sensor to avoid obstacles and drop-sensing features to avoid falls. You can keep the vacuum cleaner out of certain zones by simulating an infrared wall.
The robot can sweep, vacuum and do wet/dry mopping. The V-shaped tangle-free rolling brush and 1200pa of suction power help with enhanced cleaning capabilities.
The X620 can automatically adjust suction strength for carpeted, tile, hardwood and laminate floors. It is operated via remote control. For the wet function, no cleaning agent other than water should be added to the tank.

Pure Clean Smart Robot Vacuum

It can mop, sweep, dust and vacuum your floors. Its low-profile design helps it to slide easily under furniture, cleaning places that are otherwise difficult to reach. It also has an anti-fall stair sensor and protective bumper housing to protect it from being damaged.
The vacuum cleaner promises a run time of 90 minutes on a full charge and is accessed via remote control.
