The Macallan and McCartney Sisters collaborate for The Harmony Collection, now in India

The Macallan has unveiled an exquisite collaboration with Stella and Mary McCartney, a partnership born from their mutual curiosity, respect, and admiration for the natural world. This union has given birth to the third edition of The Harmony Collection, a limited annual release series that underscores The Macallan’s inherent curiosity and innovative mindset. This year’s release pays homage to the timeless Scottish landscapes that have connected generations.

Introducing The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow and Green Meadow, two distinctive expressions inspired by the McCartney sisters’ cherished memories of the Scottish countryside. Embracing sustainability, the presentation boxes and bottle labels are crafted from discarded meadow cuttings, transforming natural materials at the end of their lifecycle into objects of beauty.

Mary McCartney’s evocative photography of The Macallan Estate adorns the packaging, adding a personal and visual touch to the collection. The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, drawing inspiration from Scotland’s natural grasslands, has masterfully blended sherry seasoned oak and bourbon casks to create these limited-edition whiskies.

Steven Bremner, Whisky Maker, describes The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow as a single malt that captures the essence of warm meadows and mature barley fields, culminating in a rich, citrus-scented finish. He notes, “The 100% natural summer evening colour derived from our exceptional sherry seasoned oak and bourbon casks reflects the richness of the flavour which awaits. On the nose, fresh citrus fruits and honeysuckle are complemented by hints of vanilla, coconut, and ripe barley fields. On tasting, notes of oak, lemon, melon are prominent, accompanied by flavors of classic scone and almond with green tea, before giving way to a rich and sweet long finish.”

While the Amber Meadow is available for retail in India now, the Green Meadow from the collection will be available for sale as travel retail. The launch event for the collection drew inspiration from the brand’s push towards sustainability and the Mc Cartney sisters’ lifestyle, and featured a plant-based meal catered by the upcoming restaurant People of Tomorrow.

The Green Meadow variant will be exclusively available at duty-free stores in India.
