The all-new BMW 5 Series Facelift was launched in India today, on June 24. The new model facelift is an updated version of the 5 series that was launched in May last year. With a whole new range of features and looks, the new 5 series facelift gives BMW a new premium sense of luxury.
Exterior
The new 5 Series gets a few new updates on the outside like a larger chrome grille and a redesigned bumper. Other features include L-shaped LED DRLs, reworked LED headlamps, smoked LED taillights and a new set of alloy wheels in 18 to 20-inch size.
Interior
The 5 Series seats five people on new Sensatec perforated seats. The seats in the rear can be electrically adjusted. The front seats include heating, ventilating, massage, and 20-way power-adjustment functions. The steering wheel too gets embellished in a new sports leather trim.
Engine
The BMW 5 Series has 1 petrol engine (530i) and 2 diesel engines (520d and 530d) options available in the market. The 520d offers 140kw and 400Nm torque 195kw and 620Nm torque for the 530d and 185km and 350Nm torque for the 530i variant. Both the 530d and the 530i offer a top speed of 250 km/hr, while the 520d offers a top speed of 235 km/hr.
Entertainment
A 10.3-inch touchscreen is a standard across all BMW variants. Another new update is the 12.3-inch digital instrument console with automatic climate control, 360-degree camera, BMW navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Price
Starting from Rs56 lakhs onwards (ex-showroom), the BMW 5 Series is available in India in several colour options including Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Imperial Blue, Mediterranean Blue, Bluestone Metallic, Carbon Black and Mineral White.
