The architecture encapsulates a personal space to unwind away from the city.
The farmhouse is a scenic mirage blending the interiors and the exteriors, blurring the boundaries between the two.
The single-storey residence is designed in the Balinese style, following the principles of VastuShartra and maintaining the cardinal axis to create a seamless link with air, light and water.
The concept of “In the lap of nature” is engrained in every aspect of the house and is evident in its features. The vast outdoors are apt for meditation parties.
Along with the built mass, the landscape entails a man-made lake, seating gazebos and water features diversifying the purpose and the expression of the space.
Opening into the Bhramasthal, the entrance foyer features a double-height courtyard in the centre of the house. Uniting all the areas, the courtyard segregates the private and the public zones of the house. A light well, an indoor garden and a water feature that adds to the grandeur.
The dining area, connected to a traditional kitchen, sits aligned to the courtyard overlooking the north lawns. The ten-seater single piece dining table is complete with a statement art piece on the wall and exquisite wooden lighting hanging just above the table.
Placed in the corner of the block, the living room has an uninterrupted view of the lake on one side and a sprawling view of the lawns on the other.
Each bedroom is designed to frame the landscape on one wall, while the bed panels mimic nature with their patterns.
The furniture in each room has a unique vocabulary. For instance one of the bedrooms feature furniture made of slices of wood stitched together.
The terraces feature an outdoor gym, SPA, swimming pool and a garden to administer luxury and relaxation. The farmhouse is a unique conglomeration of bits that revitalize through an engagement with nature.
The house is styled to perpetuate a raw, unpolished look that is minimalistic in its approach. The materials constitute leather finish stones, and extensive use of hand-carved wood, motifs and textures inspired by various forms in nature. All of the materials are naturally added without any glossy, artificial or contrived finishes.
