Today, the King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan celebrates his 55th birthday. He is one of the richest movie stars in the world with a reported net worth of $600 million.
Born and brought up in New Delhi, the actor made his television debut with Doordarshan series Fauji in 1989. He entered the world of films 13 years later with the Box office hit movie Deewana in 1992.
Since then, Shah Rukh Khan has come a long way. The award-winning actor has worked in movies such as Dil Se, Baazigar, Darr, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Veer Zara, Chakh De India, Swades, My Name Is Khan, Don, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Chennai Express and Dear Zindagi to name a few. His film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which completed 25 years on October 20 this year is the longest running film in the history of Indian cinema.

Business Ventures
While Shah Rukh Khan hasn’t had any hit films in the last couple of years and didn’t release a single film in 2019, he earned ₹124.38 crores last year. This is primarily through his brand endorsements and business ventures.
Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri own Red Chillies Entertainment, film production and distribution company, which made its Netflix debut in 2019 with the web series Bard of Blood. He also owns a post-production and visual effects unit, VFX.
The much-loved actor has a 55 per cent stake in Kolkata Knight Riders, a franchise cricket team representing the city of Kolkata in the Indian Premier League. He has also invested in the Indian franchisee of KidZania.

Shah Rukh Khan owns a fleet of luxury cars – a Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe, Bentley Continental GT, BMW i-8 and BMW 6-series Convertible among others. He has several vanity vans, including one that costs ₹4 crore.
