Globally, Kohli is the fourth athlete to reach this milestone. Ranking first is Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese footballer who plays for Juventus, with 265 million followers. Second is Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi at 186 million, followed by Brazilian forward Neymar at 147 million followers.
According to an Economic Times’ report, Kohli, married to Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, has a brand value of $237.7 million. The only Asian sportsman on Hopper HQ’s Instagram Rich List 2020, the 32-year old batsman earns around $2,96,000 per post on the gram.
