Luxury car brand BMW recently made news for selling 1 lakh units since its entry in India in January 2007. Despite the challenges of covid, BMW managed to make headlines for its sale of 9,602 units during the past year, in India.
Since its debut in India 14 years ago, the brand has created and sold some of the most bespoke models with unique features and designs, which were also among the most expensive cars in the world.

1. BMW Nazca M12 $3 million
Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the BMW Nazca M12 was a super-sports car model created in 1991. A smooth-surfaced bodywork and a glass roof structure with split doors hinged at the T-Bar gave this car its super sleek yet luxe look.
2. BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept – $1.5 Million
Produced to “pay homage” to a CSL model produced in the 1970s, the initial design of the CSL did not receive much acclaim. BMW then reworked the design until they produced the 2015 Hommage Concept model which managed to grab the spotlight with its 500 horsepower inline-six engine.
3. BMW M8 E31 Prototype – $1 million
A premier luxury-performance coupe, the M8 Prototype was launched in 2019 with a 5L normally aspirated V12 engine underneath its strikingly progressive bodywork. A lesser-known fact about this particular model, however, is that a similar model was created in the early 1990s, but was never released to the public.
4. BMW X5 Le Mans Concept – $1 million
Featuring an engine sourced from the Le Mans-winning McLaren F1, the BMW X5 Le Mans Concept is the world’s only X5 with a 12 cylinder power. It is also one of the most powerful SUVs to be ever produced by BMW.

Listed as the most sought-after and popular BMW models, the Hurricane RRs used to be one of the fastest sedans with two ASA T1- 316 superchargers giving it 818 horsepower. In honour of 100 Hurricanes built, BMW released a Jubilee package creating powerful and customized models.
6. BMW M5 Hurricane RR Touring – $800,000
One of the first wagon supercars made by BMW, the BMW M5 Touring was upgraded by G-Power on its 30th anniversary, with more speed with speed reaching 790 Nm at 820 HP making it one of the fastest station wagons in the world.
7. BMW X6 G-Power Typhoon S – $800,000
The X6 Typhoon S is considered to be one of the most powerful SUVs in the world having an output of 726 HP. With a top speed of 300 kmph, the car can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 4.2 seconds.
8. BMW M6 G-Power Hurricane CS Ultimate – $760,000
Capable of reaching 200 KM/H in under 9 seconds, the Hurricane CS Ultimate is a casual sports car that claims to have a horsepower of over 1000. The car was created specifically for a customer in the United Arab Emirates who decided to remain anonymous.
9. BMW X6 M G-Power Typhoon WideBody – $760,000
A racecar with a luxurious design, BMW claims this model to be a cross between a coupe and an SUV. A curvy, rounded body with ample interior space, the car features a 4.4L V8 bi-turbo power unit that produces up to 725 horsepower.
