Watchbox partners with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons to open Dubai store

One of UAE’s well-known luxury watch and jewellery retailers Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons have signed a joint venture with Watchbox, a global platform for buying, selling and trading pre-owned luxury watches. The renowned retailer deals with over 60 luxury watch and jewellery brands across 50 locations in the UAE. Through this association, the two brands have announced to open a flagship boutique of the Philadelphia-based Watchbox in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Before the store launch, Watchbox will also participate in the upcoming Dubai Watch Week 2019.

Dubai Watch Week, an annual international watch event is being organised by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons for the fourth time, from November November 20 to 24. It has, over the years, gained traction as an event that showcases new collections, discusses business and creative ideas with retailers and watch collectors .

The watch week will feature a pop-up by Watchbox, which will be followed by their official store opening in the city. This will meet the ever-increasing demand for high-end watches in the Arab market through, both, online and offline services. Speaking of services, customers will get a customised experience while buying the watches. An amalgamation of in-store technology and engaging audio-visuals will help the customers get a deeper and better understanding of the products on display.

This joint venture also ensures a safe space for those who are interested in buying and selling second-hand luxury watches. Customers could sell their pre-owned collection of luxury watches directly to Watchbox and use that to part-finance either a second-hand premium watch or a brand new one amongst the many choices available at their store. Exclusive access to Watchbox’s global inventory and a two-year warranty on each product are the perks that could be availed by the buyers.
