6 Floral Cocktail Recipes for the warm weather

As the weather warms up, a touch of botanicals brings the freshest of the season right to your glass. Think elderflower-kissed spritzes, rose-infused negronis, and a dash of lavender where you least expect it. The season’s blooms aren’t just for vases—they belong in your cocktail shaker too. 

Lotus Flower Martini 

Lotus Flower Martini and Absolut Vodka

Ingredients

  • Ice Cubes
  • 30 ml Absolut Vodka
  • 15 ml Lychee Liqueur
  • 10 ml Blue Curaçao
  • 10 ml Violet Liqueur
  • 1 Edible Flower
  • 1 Mint Leaf 

Method 

  • Fill a shaker with ice cubes.
  • Add all ingredients.
  • Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with an edible flower and a mint leaf. 

Chamomile & Honey Old Fashioned Rum 

Chamomile & Honey Old Fashioned Rum and Camikara Rum

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Camikara Rum
  • 15 ml Chamomile-Infused Honey Syrup
  • 2 Dashes Orange Bitters
  • Orange Peel and Chamomile Flowers for Garnish 

Method 

  • Add rum, chamomile-infused honey syrup, and orange bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
  • Stir well and strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  • Garnish with an orange peel and chamomile flowers. 

Rose & Hibiscus Sangria  

Jacob’s Creek Crisp Rose

Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle Jacob’s Creek Rosé Wine
  • 120 ml Hibiscus Tea (Brewed and Chilled)
  • 120 ml Elderflower Liqueur
  • 60 ml Orange Liqueur (Such as Cointreau)
  • 1 Orange, Sliced
  • 1 Lemon, Sliced
  • 1 Cup Mixed Berries (Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries)
  • Edible Flowers for Garnish 

 Method 

  • In a pitcher, combine rosé wine, hibiscus tea, elderflower liqueur, and orange liqueur.
  • Add sliced fruits and berries, then let sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with edible flowers. 

Lavender Mirage 

Lavender Mirage and 1800 Tequila Añejo

Ingredients

  • 45 ml 1800 Tequila Añejo
  • 15 ml Lavender Syrup
  • 30 ml Grapefruit Juice
  • 15 ml Lime Juice
  • 5 ml Sugar Syrup
  • Soda Water (To Top Up) 

Method 

  • Fill a shaker with ice and add tequila, lavender syrup, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and sugar syrup.
  • Shake well and strain into an ice-filled highball glass.
  • Top up with soda water and stir gently.
  • Garnish with a lavender sprig or a grapefruit slice. 

The Grasshopper 

The Grasshopper and Tenjaku Gin

 Ingredients

  • 60 ml Tenjaku Gin
  • 40 ml Apple Juice
  • 20 ml Lime Juice
  • 20 ml Elderflower and Lemongrass Cordial
  • Ginger Ale (To Top Up) 

Method 

  • Shake gin, apple juice, lime juice, and cordial with ice.
  • Strain into a highball glass filled with ice.
  • Top up with ginger ale and stir gently.
  • Garnish with a thin apple slice or a sprig of lemongrass. 

G.O.A.T 

G.O.A.T and Creyente Mezcal

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Creyente Mezcal
  • 25 ml Hibiscus Cordial
  • 5 ml Citrus Solution (2:5 Ratio)
  • 90 ml Tonic Water 

Method 

  • Shake mezcal, hibiscus cordial, and citrus solution with ice.
  • Strain into a highball glass over ice.
  • Top up with tonic water and stir gently.
  • Garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel or an edible flower.
