Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 is Back, and Bigger than Ever

Before it became the industry’s most influential stage, Watches and Wonders Geneva began life as the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in 1991 an intimate, invitation-only gathering created to spotlight the artistry of a handful of high watchmaking maisons. Over the decades, it evolved in scale, ambition and accessibility, rebranding as Watches and Wonders and transforming into a city-wide horological festival. Today, it is not merely a trade fair but the definitive global platform where heritage houses, independent innovators and next-generation collectors converge, and its 2026 edition promises to push that evolution even further.

One of the biggest changes this year is scale and diversity. The 2026 edition will be the largest yet, with 66 exhibiting brands including the highly anticipated return of Audemars Piguet after years away from trade shows, alongside ten exciting newcomers such as Corum, March LA.B and Germany’s Sinn Spezialuhren. At the same time, some familiar names like Montblanc are taking a break, creating space for fresh voices and perspectives in modern watchmaking.

Inside the iconic Palexpo halls, expect a feast of innovations as brands unveil their latest creations, from technical marvels and new complications to design revivals that nod to heritage while embracing contemporary aesthetics. Guided tours, immersive brand activations and expert-led sessions will give collectors and curious visitors alike a deeper look into the art of watchmaking, from movement mechanics to finishing techniques.

But Watches and Wonders in 2026 isn’t just confined to exhibition booths. The festival’s In The City program will take activations, workshops and live demonstrations into Geneva’s public spaces, bridging the gap between watch aficionados and the broader community. Expect watchmaking villages, hands-on workshops, and even evenings animated by a Geneva-exclusive collaboration with the Montreux Jazz Festival, where live music and cultural programming add rhythm to the city’s lakeside evenings.

For collectors and enthusiasts, the week is also about timing, both literal and metaphorical. With public access open from April 18–20, this is one of the rare moments when the latest releases from Switzerland’s most esteemed maisons, alongside independent innovators, are revealed and celebrated together in one place. Whether you’re tracking mechanical breakthroughs, appreciating design evolution, or simply soaking in the atmosphere of Geneva transformed into a horology hub, Watches and Wonders 2026 promises breadth, depth and a healthy dose of surprise.
