Louis Vuitton (#5)
Started by Louis Vuitton in the year 1854, the brand has become one of the most desirable brands in the luxury world. LV has always been extraordinary, churning out the best designs season after season; hence, it is no surprise that it is on the Kantar’s list. Creative Directors Nicolas Ghesquière and Virgil Abloh made the brand unique from the start.
Chanel (#9)
Chanel, started by Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel, is well known for revolutionising the world of fashion. Be it the Chanel No. 5 perfume, the Little Black Dress, the 2.55 Handbag, or the Chanel Suit, the brand has always been associated with the word “iconic,” which is mirrored through the faces of the brand – Kristen Stewart, Pharell Williams and Penelope Cruz.
Hermes (#10)
Started as a harness workshop in 1837, the brand has grown to become a legendary phenomenon in the luxury world. The iconic Hermes’ silk scarves and bags are recognised by all.  Having a 7% increase in brand value since 2019, and placing 10th on Kantar’s list shows how far it has come since its inception.

Gucci (#12)
Gucci is one out of two Kering owned brands to make an appearance on the “Top 75 Global Retail Brands 2020” list. What initially started as a luggage manufacturing company by Guccio Gucci in Florence, has made itself one of fashion’s most premium and prominent brands. Working with top creative directors like Tom Ford and Frida Gianni shows Gucci’s perpetual growth and success.
Rolex (#33)
The innovating watchmaking brand is in at #33 on the list. The Swiss luxury watchmaker, Rolex, is known for its timeless technical brilliance. Started in 1905, the brand was first to launch waterproof, airtight and dustproof watches. Rolex has cemented itself as a top luxury brand for eternity.

Cartier (#45)
Launched 173 years ago, Cartier is one of the most prestigious and prominent jewellery manufacturers. “The jeweller of Kings and King of jewellers”- King Edward VII, perfectly sums up what the brand represents to the world. Their Panthere Watch, the classic Red Box, Love Bracelets and Rings are all part of its exceptional designs.

Dior (#47)
Christian Dior founded ‘Dior’ in 1946, backed by Marcel Boussac. He is considered one of the most important couturiers of the twentieth century because of his first collection in 1947 called ‘New Look.’ Today it is also recognized for abundant luxury products and not just for its clothes.

Yves Saint Laurent (#55)
The first French couturier to create a ready-to-wear line, started in 1961. They have expanded to several products and has successfully become a high-value brand. The label has done even better under the stimulus of creative director Anthony Vaccarello.

Burberry (#57)
Burberry, the British luxury fashion brand, was founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry. Its signature designs include the gabardine trench coats and its very recognisable tartan. Burberry has always renowned featured celebrities in their advertisements, like Emma Watson, Kate Moss, and, more recently, the Hadid sisters.

Prada (#63)
Prada, started in 1913 by Mario Prada, has recently named Raf Simons as co-creative director. He was scheduled to launch his first collaborative partner Miuccia Prada in September 2020. Prada has been specialising in leather handbags, travel accessories, shoes, ready-to-wear fashion and perfumes. Recently, it has also taken considerable steps towards being a more sustainable brand.
