BMW Motorrad launched its new superbike S1000R in India on June 15. A naked streetfighter, based on the S1000RR, the new superbike is the second generation of the motorcycle.

The exterior of the BMW S1000R bike gets quite an update in terms of design. The muscular fuel tank, side panels, a mass-forward stance, up-swept exhaust, etc. give the bike a more aggressive, sporty look. It also sports a new LED headlamp cluster with LED DRLs, LED indicators, and a new LED taillight.

A 999 cc inline 4-cylinder liquid-cooled engine generates maximum power of 165 bhp at 11,000 rpm. With a peak torque of 115 Nm at 9,250 rpm, the bike can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds achieving a top speed of 250 km/h.
