Ten best collections at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020

The recently concluded Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020 is one of the most anticipated bi-annual fashion weeks in India. In its 20th year, designers Manish Arora, Ritu Kumar and Pankaj & Nidhi made a sensational comeback on the runway, while Amit Aggarwal, Shivan & Narresh, Payal Singhal and Kunal Rawal stirred up their patent styles with hints of new trends and innovations. Here is the list of best fashion collections from Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020.
Amit Aggarwal
For his first Lakme Absolute Grand Finale, Amit Aggarwal presented his latest collection Axil, which is underlined with multi-dimensional, fluid and structured silhouettes. Lakme’s ambassador Kareena Kapoor Khan walked for the designer in a dazzling green gown.
Manish Arora
First introduced at Paris Fashion Week in 2019, Manish Arora’s ‘We are Family’, a collection inspired by the LGBTQIA community was showcased at Lakme Fashion Week S/R 2020. In the quirky musical performance, eight models swooned delicately in colourful outfits and head accessories.

Shivan & Narresh
Shivan & Narresh collaborated with Caprese to bring a sassy twist to resort-wear on the runway. Their Hututi Summer edit is a refreshing version of Seoul Series, inspired by South Korean culture. Diana Penty closed the show in an olive long skirt and a wrap blouse.
Ritu Kumar
For the finale on Sustainable day at Lakme Fashion Week, Ritu Kumar returned on the ramp after a decade to present A/W’20 collection Nature’s Origami with Aditi Rao Hyadri as the showstopper. The collection was designed in collaboration with eco-friendly fibre brand Lenzing Ecovero.
Pankaj & Nidhi
The designer duo partnered with R|Elan™ for their latest collection ArtFluence, a chic, sequined take on denim wear. Shraddha Kapoor strutted the ramp in a lattice-fringed top and jeans.

Rajdeep Ranawat
Inspired by the tropical weather of Ubud in Bali, Rajdeep Ranawat designed a print-heavy assemblage of outfits in varied fabrics like khadi, silk, mulberry and tussar. Amyra Dastur looked ravishing in a red bikini top paired with a lehenga and a jacket.
Ashdeen
Ashdeen Lilaowala’s collection ‘Memories on Cloth’ defined the beauty of Parsi Gara embroidery in lehengas, skirts, saris, kimonos, blouses and shawls. Motifs of flora and fauna were the highlight in every piece presented on the ramp.
