Can’t wait; world’s first-ever Makeup Museum to open in NYC soon

‘Pink jungle: 1950s Makeup in America’ exhibition by Makeup Museum is an unprecedented concept in the history of museums. It is set to exhibit timeless beauty collections from the 1950s, the birth year of today’s contemporary makeup industry.

Historical artifacts such as Max factor’s Creme Puff compact and Erno Laszlo’s skincare collection owned by 1950s film icons Marilyn Monroe and Greta Garbo are some of the highlights. Vanities of iconic stars that can be seen and their signature looks can be purchased.

The visitors will be asked to download Makeup museum’s app, which will allow them to see exclusive digitally activated displays and interactive elements. They can also contribute their own photos and videos for display.
You can shop for vintage-inspired makeup products, kits, and gifts at their shop. The products will also go on a sale once the Makeup museum launches its online store.

The museum was set to open in May 2020 but the launch has been postponed. However, you can pre-book your tickets for $25 to $40 depending on your day and time of visit, and add on experiences such as a masterclass.

Currently set in Manhattan, this museum will be a semi-permanent one. After running for six months, it will travel to exhibit different themes in major cities across America.
