Luxury tech is having a moment

I’ve never been a tech girl growing up. I always thought it was too complicated, too spec-heavy and, if I’m being honest, a little boring. But boy, was I wrong. Somewhere between AI becoming your everyday assistant, foldable phones turning into pocket-sized workstations and luxury speakers doubling up as sculptural art, technology quietly became one of the most exciting corners of luxury. The numbers tell the story too. With the global consumer technology market crossing US$1.3 trillion in sales in 2025, it’s clear that consumers are investing more than ever in next-gen tech.

That said, here are some luxury tech launches making headlines right now.

Sony’s BRAVIA 9 II, launched at a staggering price of ₹ 29,00,000 is redefining what a home cinema experience can look like. At the heart of the flagship television is its True RGB technology, which uses independently controlled red, green and blue LEDs to deliver richer colours, enhanced brightness and exceptional colour accuracy. Built for immersive viewing at an ultra-large scale, the 115-inch BRAVIA 9 II features a 4K HDR display powered by Sony’s XR Processor, supporting HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG and IMAX Enhanced. The RGB Mini LED backlight system, paired with Sony’s advanced processing, is designed to deliver deeper contrast, realistic textures and cinematic detail across everything from blockbuster films to live sports.

Beyond picture quality, the television integrates Google TV with Gemini, bringing smarter content discovery and voice-enabled interactions directly to the big screen. You can access personalised recommendations, search for content more naturally and navigate entertainment through AI-powered assistance.
