Celebrity front-row style at the New York Fashion Week SS 2023

It’s September, and that means fashion month is well upon us. Front rows filled up with the most coveted names in the industry, and designers brought celebrities such as Madonna and Kim Kardashian to walk the ramp. The New York Fashion Week is filled with glitz, glamour and fashion (and beauty) trends being decoded. What’s a fashion week without some moments that leave you gasping for air? The recently concluded New York Fashion Week SS 2023 caught many eyeballs at the ramp.
While Fendi and Marni showcased for the first time, some key trends spotted included shimmer and oversized silhouettes. But that’s not all that went down, Indian influencers Gaurav-Ritu Taneja and Aashna Hegde became the first Indian influencers to walk the ramp for Archana Kochhar at the New York Fashion week, and a live performance by Travis Barker at Tommy Hilfiger’s Warhol-inspired collection and American rapper Lil Nas’ debut at the Coach show blew the crowds away. Shiny skin, skin show and broccoli bag at the Collina Strada were just a few other iconic moments.
But strutting down the ramp and celebs on the front row acing the fashion game surely caught our attention. From Sarah Jessica Parker to the Kardashians and Anne Hathaway to Evan Mock, here’s a low down of the best celebrity fashion spotted at the New York Fashion Week.

Kim Kardashian dazzled in a head-to-toe sheer studded ensemble from Fendi couture. Looking truly glamorous the skin-tight silhouette flattered her curves and proved that more is more.

While Fendi showcased at the New York Fashion Week for the first time, the baguette was the key styling element. Championing a skirt with a fur jacket a hat and a monogrammed Baguette, Evan Mock is advocating that androgynous styles and monogram isn’t going anywhere next season.

Cassie brought glamour and shimmer to the New York Fashion week runway at The Blonds show. The Blonds close the fashion week with Y2K club glamour, sky-high heels and elaborate embellished creations. Making the mercury soar, Cassie’s look is proof that denim and glitz are just a way of life at NYFW.

Karlie Koss is known for her simple, classic and elegant style and her appearance at the Tom Ford and Fendi show was no different. Opting for a suit on both occasions, the celebrity made a serious case for monotone fashion and pantsuits. While the Fendi one was structured and well-tailored, the Tom Ford one highlighted glamour and slouchy silhouettes.

Ciara proves that the hottest colour for the season is red! Looking red-hot, in a sharply tailored Tom Ford suit. Yet again giving a nod to monotone fashion one thing is certain – pant suits and monotone go hand-in-hand. Teamed with matching transparent shades, there’s yet another style trend to take note of.
Shaun Mendes at Tommy Hilfiger

When it comes to fashion for men, celebrities at the New York Fashion Week didn’t fall far behind. Shaun Mendes brought his a-game to the Tommy Hilfiger front-row in knitwear. Featuring the classic cable print knit sweater, his style speaks of classic silhouettes with a contemporary twist. On the runway, the designer showcased his See Now, Buy Later collection after taking a three-year hiatus.

When it comes to eclectic style inspiration, let Madonna’s look at the Tom Ford show be your starting point. Giving a nod to 80’s inspired glitz, she was spotted in a coordinated ensemble with her daughter Lourdes Leon. Madonna styled a silky black two-piece set with fingerless leather gloves and a lacy lingerie-style bodysuit, while Leon wore a shimmery ankle-length tank dress, a cross-pendant necklace, and strappy sandals.

If you thought that was all the pant-suit inspiration you were going to see at the New York Fashion Week, think again. Because Serene Williams donned a hot pink Michael Kors pantsuit. Staying in sync with the latest colour trend – hot pink, that right there is a major style queue to be on top of the charts.

Simple, sophisticated and dapper. Chris Rock’s all-black look at the Tom Ford runway was a pleasant delight. Proving that biker-inspired fashion and leather is here for every season he stole the show when it comes to classic ensembles.

Kendall Jenner made her appearance off the runway at the Marni show in a floral mini-dress that shouts out spring/ summer. So when in doubt, take some help from this iconic look. Pair it with stockings and boots for a unique look.
Sarah Jessica Parker at Fendi

Not only did Sarah Jessica Parker collaborate with Fendi to celebrate 25 years of the Baguette but she also was one of the front-row attendees. Keeping her style low-key, she opted for a dainty sheer skirt with a button-down shirt, green pumps and an ombre purple handbag. Unlike her character Carrie Bradshaw, this look is an ideal one for those looking for something understated.
Anne Hathaway and Anna Wintour at Micheal Kors

Is this an in-real-life moment of Miranda Priestly and Andrea Sachs from the Devil Wears Prada, we’d say yes! Anne Hathaway and Anna Wintour were spotted seated together at the front row for the Micheal Kors show. Hathaway’s choice of clothes has made it to social media as resembling her iconic style in the film – donning a brown leather jacket, black fitted turtle neck dress and matching pumps with a fringe, we’d say we couldn’t help but take style notes. Wintour on the other hand was spotted sporting a black and white floral print floral length maxi, keeping it easy chic and in sync with the summer memo.

In a black jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, a belt and a floor-length trench coat, Vanessa Hudgens once again validates the power of an all-black outfit. Wearing Michael Kors, the celebrity was seated in the front row with Anne Hathaway and Anna Wintour.

Trust Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Travis Barker to bring kitsch outfits to the front row. But we aren’t complaining! The couple was spotted showing off their edgy couple style. Kourtney wore a denim Tommy Hilfiger jumpsuit adorned with a new TH and floral motif and Travis opted for an oversized puffer coat worn shirtless, showing off his famous tattoos.
