In a rather extravagant reopening last month, Christian Louboutin opened its outlet in DLF Emporio, Delhi. Launched first in 2012 in the same mall, the luxury store is dedicated to, both, men and women. The new space will stock a footwear collection for kids.
Inside the Louboutin store
A powerhouse of aesthetics and fashion, Christian Louboutin’s Delhi boutique is inspired by Maison’s first store in Galerie Vero-Dodate, Paris. Set in a lacquered red patterned wall, a glass door with a polished gold handle and gold frame looks good with the designer’s iconic red palette. The interiors boast plush detailing, alongside statement pieces like maroon consoles and bright accent chairs harmonising with Murano glass chandelier and the all-red flooring style. Christian’s use of traditional Indian fabrics portrays his love for travelling and rich heritage. Luminous lighting setup is matched well with arched mirrors and the house’s striking collection of heels and fashion accessories.
The brand has focussed on lending the store a cosy and an intimate lounging mood. The tones of pink used in marbles give it a friendly, feminine feel, while ceramic tiling and hues of grey create an integrated corner for men.
Welcoming Loubabe collection to India
With the revamp comes an exciting collection, which is Christian Louboutin’s limited-edition capsule for kids, called Loubabe. Loubabes are miniature versions of the women’s shoe range, crafted to coordinate mummy and baby ensembles in the most flattering manner. Available exclusively in DLF Emporio’s boutique, the bow-embellished shoes for kids have been designed in cool blue tones, a bold pink and two print varieties.
