Copenhagen Fashion Week: Best street wear trends

Schenelle Dsouza
Unlike the many fashion weeks held around the world, Copenhagen Fashion Week is usually a much shorter event. However, CPHFW always brings out the best streetwear inspirations for all around the year.
Returning to the runway with a bang, Copenhagen Fashion Week showcased some of the best new Autumn/Winter ’22 collections from some underrated yet talented Scandinavian designer labels. However, it was the street style of the chic Scandinavians that really caught our attention. The streets were rife with colour, bold prints, and a whole lot of drama.
Bringing back fun fashion to the streets, the street style scene was a feast for the eyes. Bright colours, bold prints, oversized clothing, casual chic to evening glam, everything we saw, we loved quite a bit of it.
Keep scrolling to know more about our favourite street style trends from the Copenhagen Fashion Week ‘22.
1. Baggy bottoms
Long gone are the days when skinny jeans were all the rave. The 90’s baggy bottoms have officially made a comeback. Right from mom jeans and balloon pants to bell-bottoms and cargo pants, baggy bottoms. Apart from being oh-so-comfy, baggy bottoms are also super stylish and can be worn with pretty much everything.

2. Colourful pantsuits
Nothing looks more chic than a perfectly styled pantsuit. But why should these be in boring neutral colours only? Bringing the chic to the streets, pantsuits revived themselves at the CPHFW ’22, in some fun tones like pinks, blues and even orange.

3. Prints and patterns
One of the reigning trends in fashion today is the mishmash of prints and patterns, the bolder the better. Among most of the trends we saw at CPHFW, big bold prints was definitely the biggest one, backed by eye-catching hues in the brightest colours. (NAME SOME LABELS)

4. Vibrant jackets
Speaking of bright colours, the people of Scandinavia showed the fun side of winter fashion. We’re talking about the most gorgeous trench coats and winter jackets that no longer come in plain old neutral palettes.

5. Layers and more
Layering isn’t a new trend, but it’s definitely evolving. CPHFW saw some of the most layered outfits – vests, jackets, trenches, some looks really had it all. But rather than look clumpy and overdone, the layered street looks found a way to blend textures, colours and patterns in the most stylish way.
