Come to Delhi’s Arts Room for some old-school Parisian artistry

I’ve always been in awe of people and places inspired by art, but there’s something truly magical about a restaurant that does it well. In 2025, dining isn’t just about the food, but the entire sensory experience, where aesthetics are just as important as flavours. And that’s exactly what Arts Room, the latest offering from Navneet and Randeep Bajaj’s Ambrosia Hospitality, delivers.

Tucked inside Eldeco Centre, Saket, Arts Room feels like stepping into an artist’s reverie, where culinary craftsmanship, literature, and visual splendor blend seamlessly. With an ambiance that merges the charm of a classical French living room and the vibrancy of a Parisian courtyard, Arts Room presents a lively yet intimate space where every visit unfolds a new story.

As someone who loves discovering unique dining spaces, I was eager to immerse myself in the restaurants’ global-inspired menu, curated with locally sourced ingredients and presented with an artistic touch. The restaurant’s philosophy of blending timeless hospitality with contemporary trends was evident from the moment I stepped inside. The Indian artwork curated by Pristine Contemporary provided a rich visual backdrop, while the aroma of artisanal ingredients filled the air, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal.

Curated with heart and precision by Chef Parth Saxena, the menu at Arts Room is a canvas of flavours that evolves alongside the rotating art exhibits. With 40 meticulously crafted dishes, including vegan and gluten-free options, every bite feels like a conversation between global inspiration and Indian authenticity—both comfortingly nostalgic and refreshingly new.

But let’s talk cocktails—because here, drinks feel like masterpieces in a glass! Crafted by Kamal Kohli, the cocktail program is an ode to legendary artists and their works. I kicked off my experience with The Two Fridas, a tribute to Frida Kahlo’s iconic painting. Think hemp seed-infused tequila, watermelon, and chili saccharum, a perfect mix of sweet, smoky, and spicy.

To pair with the drinks, I dived into their artisan flatbreads, picking the Wild Mushroom variant (because, duh—mushrooms make everything better!). Then, from the buzzing Layla’s pop-up, I couldn’t resist a round of Shawarmas. But the real showstoppers? The Nero Pasta, which married Thai red curry with Maharashtrian thecha for a bold, unexpected explosion of flavours, and the Rainbow Trout, served with potato pave and orange fennel sauce—a dish that felt like a symphony of textures and tastes. And just when I thought I’d tasted it all, along came Goan Rains, a kokum-based tequila drink that paid homage to F.N. Souza’s hauntingly beautiful monsoon depictions.

For my teetotaler besties, their Zero Proof Cocktails ensure that the experience is just as elevated and exciting. And, of course, no trip to Arts Room is complete without their viral Tiramisu, assembled live at the table, before we shamelessly scooped up every last bite. Worth. Every. Calorie.

What truly sets Arts Room apart is its dedication to sustainability and local partnerships. The restaurant collaborates with esteemed Indian brands like Manam Chocolate (Andhra Pradesh), Kaffa Cerrado coffee, Bahrisons bookstore, Eleftheria Cheese (Mumbai), Old Hill Cheese (Uttarakhand), Ikai Organics (Assam), and Artisan Meats, among others. These partnerships ensure that every ingredient and product used at Arts Room tells a story of craftsmanship and authenticity.

With love in the air and Valentine’s around the corner, Arts Room is the ultimate date spot for those who adore fine dining with a dash of art, a splash of culture, and a whole lot of storytelling. Think romance, but make it aesthetic!
