With the rapid expansion of NFTs across industries, it’s no surprise that the fashion world, too, is jumping onto the bandwagon. But, like with any new tech, it takes time to get a sense of one’s bearings. NFTs have become a new obsession in fashion, and Gucci is one of the few luxury houses to be web3 savvy. The luxury fashion house Gucci keeps delving into the web3, becoming one of the most innovative brands in the NFT realm. Is this Gucci’s ultimate NFT? Let’s find out!

The fashion house’s first NFT was auctioned off in 2021 as part of the Gucci Aria festivities. Earlier last month, Gucci partnered with NFT marketplace SuperRare to launch The Next 100 Years of Gucci, which honours the brand’s colourful heritage.

The latest drop brings together 11 NFT artists, who reflect on Gucci’s 100-year legacy and present their vision for its next chapter. Interpreting the codes of Gucci’s past and present, contemporary creators envision the House’s future through NFT artworks.

Adding to the kaleidoscopic narrative housed within the Vault Art Space by Gucci and SuperRare are artists Alexis Christodoulou, Aliendope, Diberkato, Drew Young, Jordan, Schiffer, Pet Liger, trs.mnz, Tyler Spangler, VEXX, and YEAHYEAHCHLOE.
Artworks throughout the collection explore the lines between human and metaverse. While some interpret Gucci’s signature flora pattern in Flora II — Gocce de Flori another artist infuses shiny retrofuturism and ‘90s lava lamps into her piece, “GG Metal Boot.

The newly launched Gucci Vault Art Space is the house’s first experimental online space, and the latest drop will be showcased and auctioned directly on the Vault website.
Gucci also has a world of NFT under its umbrella including the Web3, teaming up with collectables company SUPERPLASTIC to launch SUPERGUCCI, a limited series of CryptoJanky NFTs and ceramic sculptures, and a partnership with 10KTF on a series of NFTs called Gucci Grail.
The release went live on July 7 and will be auctioned directly on Gucci’s Vault Art Space website.⁠
