JJV Kapurthala opens at The Dhan Mill

Ace designer, JJ Valaya debuted his JJV Kapurthala line at the Lakmē Fashion Week earlier this year. A few months later, the designer finally opened a store at The Dhan Mill in New Delhi. Spelling out opulence, extravagance and glamour, the store house the designer’s signature chevron and fauna prints across women’s and menswear. But the store also welcomes guests with a sprawling section of accessories including jewellery, belts, bags and scarves.
Jaipur Rugs unveils three new collections at Salone Del Mobile
When it comes to luxury headlines, Jaipur Rugs showcased a harmonious fusion of Indian artisanship and Italian design excellence at Salone del Mobile Milano 2024 with three innovative collaborations. At the heart of their exhibit at Salone lies a landmark architectural façade by Michele De Lucchi, inviting visitors to explore luxury and craftsmanship. In the Couture Collection, Jaipur Rugs partners with VIMAR 1991, Chanel’s esteemed yarn atelier. These carpets feature a monochrome palette and intricate patterns reminiscent of haute couture fashion. Façade emerges from the collaboration between Jaipur Rugs and AMDL Circle by Michele De Lucchi, where traditional carpet construction meets contemporary kilims. The ZIG ZAG Collection, a collaboration between Jaipur Rugs and DAAA Haus, a multidisciplinary design practice, symbolizes the fusion of Mumbai and Milan through abstract black and white rugs.
Mango X Victoria Beckham
When it comes to fashion, Victoria Beckham and her label are highly renowned. As a first, Victoria Beckham has joined hands with high-street brand Mango to unveil a collection titled The Capsule Collection on 23, April. Embodying the essence of both brands by merging classic British luxury with contemporary flair, the collection will feature slip dresses, knitwear, and chic accessories. This inaugural collaboration presents pieces that seamlessly align with the designer’s own aesthetic.
Six Senses to open Residences Dubai Marina
This is an exciting piece of luxury news for the week. Dubai, the hub of luxury is getting the world’s tallest residential tower by Six Senses. Named Residences Dubai Marina it is set to open in 2028 , overlooking a section of sweeping panoramas encompassing Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Harbor Beachfront, Emirates Golf Course, Dubai Marina, Blue Waters, and Ain Dubai. The 251 residences range from 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom residences, 4-bedroom half-floor penthouses, 4-bedroom duplex sky mansions, and 5-bedroom triplex sky mansions is set to appeal to Dubai’s wellness-conscious community.
Frank Muller introduces a new collection
Watches and Wonders has been in the luxury headlines for a week. Franck Muller recently concluded its annual WPHH event showcasing stunning new timepiece collections. Among the highlights of 2024, Franck Muller introduced The Cintrée Curvex™ Imperial Tourbillon Baguette, an extraordinary timepiece, and The Curvex CX Master Jumper, featuring a new in-house manufactured movement. The unveiling also included The new Vanguard™ Lady Slim Skeleton, an exceptional creation in Haute Horlogerie, and more. Noteworthy among the novelties is a new ladies’ complication named Vintage, boasting a slim, automatic movement crafted in-house. Additionally, Franck Muller collaborated with S.T. Dupont to introduce the Master Lighter, an exceptional fusion of Haute Horlogerie and goldsmithing artistry. This remarkable lighter, integrating a skeleton watch with a power reserve, represents over two years of development and marks a significant milestone in the history of both renowned houses.
Glenmorangie unveils first Calvados cask finish as 12-Year-Old small batch whisky in India
Moving to luxury headlines in the liquor industry, Glenmorangie unveiled its newest creation, Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish, a unique expression finished in French Calvados casks. This marks a milestone as the first whisky ever finished in Calvados casks. Infused with fragrances of jasmine, baked apples, and pears, this 12-year-old whisky promises to redefine Glenmorangie’s fruity profiles. A whisky matured in American white oak bourbon casks was carefully transferred to Calvados du Pays d’Auge casks, resulting in a rich and mellow expression. Dr. Bill Lumsden commented, “Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish is a testament to our relentless pursuit of excellence. This release exemplifies our commitment to innovation and craftsmanship, offering whisky enthusiasts a truly unique and delightful experience.”
