Indian Accent Delhi gets a Sabyasachi-styled makeover
When it comes to Delhi’s culinary delights, the options are endless, but Indian Accent holds a special place in our hearts for all the right reasons. Known for its exquisite fusion of flavors and captivating atmosphere, this culinary gem has just upped its game with a breathtaking Sabyasachi-styled makeover. Teaming up with Sabyasachi for Nilaya by Asian Paints and the creative genius of Punit Jasuja from Second Floor Studio, Indian Accent is now more inviting and vibrant than ever before.
Indian Accent, New Delhi, India’s premier restaurant, has undergone a stunning transformation thanks to a stylish collaboration with Asian Paints, the nation’s trusted interior décor expert. With an infusion of opulent fabrics and luxurious wallpapers from Sabyasachi for Nilaya by Asian Paints’ The Heartland Collection, this esteemed fine diner has received a sophisticated update. Crafted by renowned designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, The Heartland Collection offers a diverse array of over 120 fabric and wallpaper options, inspired by Mukherjee’s travels to exotic locales like North Africa, Vrindavan, and the Coromandel coast. Launched in 2021, this extensive collection forms part of the broader Sabyasachi for Nilaya by Asian Paints range, empowering discerning consumers to infuse their spaces with the timeless elegance of Sabyasachi’s aesthetic. At Indian Accent, New Delhi, sumptuous velvets and linens from The Heartland Collection, adorned with printed florals and textured embroidery, imbue the ambiance with a sense of chic sophistication and warmth.
“We wanted to ensure what we chose lent itself to making sure the food was the star”, explains Punit Jasuja, the visionary behind the restaurant’s interiors. “So, we approached the project by looking at what is the restaurant’s signature style and essence.” The Delhi-based aesthete further emphasised the synergy between Indian Accent’s culinary philosophy and design ethos of The Heart Collection and said “It looks at traditional Indian recipes and then modernises them. Which is similar to the fabrics and wallpaper from The Heartland Collection, which are rooted in tradition but have been given a modern twist. What we chose complements the sensuality of the food and the colours reflect the ambience and the nature of the space.” Just as Asian Paints reinterprets traditional décor solutions, the collaboration seamlessly blends Sabyasachi’s exquisite furnishings and wallpapers with Indian Accent’s groundbreaking gastronomy, enriching the dining experience for patrons.
The exquisite fabrics and wallpapers from the Sabyasachi for Nilaya by Asian Paints range, including the captivating Pashm Damask, Hazaribag Linen, the Great Moghol Traveller, and Vintage Sanganer, are now available at select furnishing stores across India, inviting enthusiasts to embark on their own journey of style and sophistication.
