Jimmy Choo debuted its classic monogram ‘JC’ with the Autumn-Winter 2019 campaign, lead by the runway superstar Kaia Gerber, for a second season. These stunning images celebrate modern elements of luxury with the label’s oversized JC backdrop, shot artistically by the famed fashion photographer, Steven Meisel.
Meisel has captured Kaia Gerber’s dynamic and young spirited personality perfectly, as imagined by the luxury house for its modern muse and heroine. Making it a extravagant affair, Jimmy Choo sets off on a personalised journey with its monogram featuring alongside Kaia in every shot of the collection. The brand’s initials are cast in a brushed gold faceted font with inter-linked silhouette. The classic logo is a constant reminder of the designer label’s meaning and value, extending to its signature styles as authoritative hallmark.
“In my mind, Kaia represents a muse for the next generation with a timeless sense of beauty. She’s a modern heroine in the making. This season marks a pivotal moment in Jimmy Choo’s history with the unveiling of our new monogram, the JC, a literal abbreviation of our brand initials. The multi-faceted design reflects the dynamism of the Jimmy Choo woman and the accessories she commands.” Sandra Choi, Creative Director.
Among the many fancies showcased in the AW 2019 campaign, the brand also unveils The Varenne family of handbags featuring three main silhouettes– the bowling, cross body and clutch. Every silhouette finds the iconic JC interlinked monogram. The bags boast an overall leather and suede craft, including Bordeaux, camel, black, rust and dark green.
