Kama Ayurveda to open it’s first store in London

When it comes to luxury homegrown skincare brands, Kama Ayurveda always holds a sweet spot in terms of brand positioning. Known as the OG of Ayurvedic skincare, the brand is now going global with the announcement of its new retail expansion in the United Kingdom. The brand will open its first standalone store at 207 Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill, London in November and will also retail out British luxury giant Harrods exclusively from October 20. “We are looking forward to this pivotal moment for Kama Ayurveda as it extends its bricks-and-mortar experience internationally for the first time,” said Founder & Chairman, Vivek Sahni.
This is the second big move by Kama Ayurveda after the successful launch of the brand’s global e-commerce platform, kamaayurveda.com in June 2023.
About the store
Nestled in the posh locality of Westbourne Grove which is home to global residents and international visitors, the spot serves as the perfect location to welcome the brand to a new market. Spread over two storeys, the plush-looking store with British-inspired architecture is painted in a striking hue of red. The glass-fronted store welcomes customers to the brand’s iconic collections on the ground floor. Housing some key products include creams, bath and body essentials, the Kumkumadi Illuminating and Skin Perfecting Day Cream, face cleanser, rose water and more. On the mezzanine level is a {tridoshic} food and beverage menu curated by brand ambassador Jasmine Hemsley for guests to indulge in.
Services offered at the store
For those looking for specialised ayurvedic treatment, the service menu will be a delight. With two treatment rooms on the lower ground floor, the curated menu will include The Legendary Glow Facial, a signature radiance facial using the brand’s Kumkumadi range and The Hair and Head Massage {shiroabhyanga},’ with the brand’s best-selling Bringadi Oil. Staying true to the brand philosophy and Ayurvedic principles, each personalised consultation will be with leading Ayurvedic experts and practitioners. This will be coupled with in-store experiential events, an educational offering and partnerships with experts in the Ayurveda space.
Exclusive partnership with Harrods
Adding to their expansion, the brand has made its way to the coveted luxury departmental store, Harrods in an exclusive partnership. Housed on the fifth floor of the store, global shoppers will have a chance to experience the brand at Harrods from October 20. The Kama Ayurveda space at Harrods will include a menu of spa treatments as well.
