The record for a ring with the most number of diamonds was previously held by Meerut-based jeweller Harshit Bansal, who back in 2020 crafted a ring called āThe Marigold ā The ring of prosperity’. Designed in the shape of a marigold flower, the ring had a total of 12,638 diamonds. Swa Diamonds smashes this record by doubling the number of diamonds to a staggering amount of 24,679 stones.

Calling it the āTouch of Amiā, the massive diamond ring makes quite a bold statement, not just with the diamonds, but with its unique blooming flower design as well.Ā The design is said to be inspired by the pink oyster mushroom, with as many as 41 mushroom petals. These feature very intricate detail work which was created using a 3D printer with liquid gold poured into the mould, cooled and filled with shapes of 41 unique mushroom petals. The ring allegedly took 90 days to complete, which includes design and embedding the diamonds individually by hand.
After completion, the ring was evaluated by a team of experts from the International Gemological Institute Lab to ensure its quality, post which officials confirmed the clarity, carat, weight, cut type and the type of diamonds used. The remarkable feat notched a multiple record including the Guinness World Records and Asian Book and Records.

Manufactured in the Malappuram district of Kerala, the ring is the work ofĀ Ms. Rijisha TV from the National Institute of Design.Ā The jeweller designed the ring, in part, to bring visibility to the brand and encourage more investment within the district, which is known for its skilled jewellery artisans.
āIt is our privilege and honour that this ring was made in India, and also, the owner of the ring is an Indianā, adds Abdul Gafur Anadiyan, Managing Director, SWA Diamonds.āāThe Touch of Amiā also marks the triumph of entrepreneurship in the diamond sector of our state.ā
