After a grand launch last weekend, Don Julio’s portfolio in India includes the Don Julio Blanco, perfect for cocktails like palomas and margaritas, packing a punch of citrusy goodness; Don Julio Reposado with citrus notes dancing with layers of spice topped off with hints of ripe stone fruit and the Don Julio Anejo is a blend of lime, grapefruit, mandarin, and citrus aromas.
Shweta Jain, the Chief Business Development Officer at Diageo India, spilt the tea on this launch, calling it a love letter to Mexican culture. “Crafted with love, it’s the key to unforgettable sips, whether neat or in a Don Paloma, Margherita, or Picante. This launch is set to shake up India’s luxury scene.”
In addition, the Don Julio 1942 also makes an appearance. A homage to the tequila maestro, it’s a flavour explosion with notes of caramel and chocolate on the nose and a tropical fruit, warm oak, vanilla, and roasted agave fiesta on the tongue.

In a historic triumph for Indian chocolate craftsmanship, Paul And Mike, has secured two positions in the top 25 chocolates worldwide at the International Chocolate Awards World Finals in Florence, Italy. The prestigious recognition comes as Paul And Mike’s Gin and Ginger dark chocolate claimed the 9th spot, marking the first time an Indian brand has entered the top 10. Additionally, the brand’s Sichuan Pepper And Orange Peel dark chocolate secured the 23rd spot.
What sets this victory apart is not just the global recognition but also the fact that an Indian chocolate brand surpassed some of the most accomplished chocolate makers worldwide. Acknowledging the role of customers and judges, Vikas Temani, Founder and CEO of Paul and Mike, expressed his elation, stating, “These awards are a validation of the systematic and focused work that was put in behind the scenes by our young and passionate team over the last 5 years. We have proven that world-class chocolates can be made right here in India.” As the brand revels in this success, Temani hinted at exciting initiatives in the pipeline, promising more updates from Paul And Mike soon.
Tod’s get a new Creative Director

Coming to luxury news highlights in fashion, Tod’s has confirmed that Matteo Tamburini is joining the Italian brand as its new creative director, in charge of both the women’s and men’s collections. Former Bottega Veneta designer Matteo Tamburini will replace Walter Chiapponi, who left the Italian luxury group in September. Tamburini has also held various design roles at Schiaparelli (2013-2015) and Emilio Pucci (2015-2017). The first Tod’s collection under Tamburini’s creative direction will be womenswear and slated launch for autumn/winter 2024/25. It will be presented in Milan in February 2024. Diego Della Valle, president and CEO of Tod’s Group, said: “Matteo Tamburini is a talented creative. His modern vision of high quality and Italian lifestyle will definitely bring an added value to our brand.”
