The week has been filled with luxury news from across industries. While new cars and watches are being launched ahead of the holiday season, auctions and collaborations show no signs of stopping. Here are the luxury news highlights for the week.

In other news when it comes to luxury car launches BMW is launching a new high-end electric SUV namely the BMW XM. Price at $159,000, the five-seater luxury SUV has a 4.4-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo V-8 paired with plug-in hybrid technology and has a maximum speed of 155 [168] miles per hour. The BMW XM goes from 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds and is the most powerful BMW M model ever produced. This plug-in hybrid luxury SUV features both a combustion engine and a high-performance electric motor, allowing for both speed and efficiency. In addition, luxury design and smart features make the XM stand out further, including the BMW Curved Display, Illuminated Kidney Grille, and luxurious interiors. Seven metallic paint finishes are available for the BMW XM: Carbon Black, Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Marina Bay Blue, Dravit Grey, Toronto Red, and Cape York Green.

When it comes to luxury news highlights for the week, it’s incomplete without a mention of the recently concluded Dubai Watch Week. Amongst multiple brands, Breitling’s new Avenger collection was unveiled for the first time in the Middle East. The Avenger collection celebrates Breitling’s storied history in Aviation and features a bold design, exceptional resilience, and next-level functionality. “The Avenger was created to stand up to the relentless conditions of a jet cockpit and to support pilots in demanding aerial manoeuvres. Its redesign demanded nothing less,” says Breitling CEO Georges Kern. “This collection pairs all the performance with sophisticated modern aviation style.”  The new range includes three different watch models: a 44 mm chronograph, a 44 mm automatic GMT, and a 42 mm automatic. Each watch comes with the option of a military leather strap with a folding pin buckle or a three-row stainless steel bracelet with a micro-adjustable folding clasp. All the watches in this range are water-resistant up to 300 m. The watches are designed with easy-grip functionality and corrosion-resistant construction. Whether you’re able to perform a barrel roll or not, you’ll appreciate the durability and quality of these watches.

Papa Don’t Preach has launched a new line of watches in collaboration with Swiss brand SEVENFRIDAY. Known for their imaginative and rebellious style, Papa Don’t Preach has introduced two unique designs for women that showcase their signature panther motif, combined with maximalist, mythical flowers and vibrant floral patterns on the dial. The enamelled crown, shaped like a heart, is a signature touch of Papa Don’t Preach. The dials have been skillfully crafted with raised elements to create a stunning 3D effect, adding depth and dimension to the designs. The collection has been exclusively designed by a team of women at Papa Don’t Preach.

Diving into nostalgia, this collaboration is one that will resonate with all the 90’s kids and parents alike. Taking an iconic fictional character and giving it a luxe touch. The trio has collaborated to create a collection of oxidized sterling silver pendants that feature legendary Pokémon characters such as Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Cubone, Mew, and Pikachu. In particular, Pikachu, the most beloved Pokémon, has received special treatment from Arsham and Tiffany in the form of two additional 18K yellow gold pendants and necklaces that pay homage to Pikachu’s bright yellow fur. The Arsham Studio x Tiffany x Pokémon capsule collection will be available for purchase at the Tiffany & Co. Landmark store in New York City and on Tiffany’s website in December.
The wrecked 1989 Lamborghini Countach from Wolf of Wall Street is headed to auction

Making it to the luxury news highlights for the week is the iconic wrecked Lamborghini Countach from Wolf of Wall Street. As per reports, this is expected to fetch between US$1.5 and US$2 million. But what makes it so special? The Hero Car was actually used in the stunt sequences, which included swerving with its scissor doors open, collisions with other vehicles and hitting various objects such as a sign and a mailbox. The car came out of these stunts with minimal damage. However, following Scorsese’s instructions, the crew used an additional car and a flatbed truck to cause more damage to the Hero Car to make it appear more wrecked.

Yes, you heard it right! ZARA has launched a cafe in the Mall of the Emirates Dubai making it the luxury news highlight for the week. The ZARA store at the mall has been recently renovated and now includes a cafe within the store. The cafe cleverly integrates ZARA Home elements into the culinary experience. Each dish is served on beautiful ZARA Home tableware, while drinks are presented in stylish items from the Home collections. The menu offers an extensive selection of refined pastries, sumptuous patisserie, and a range of coffee varieties for the discerning gourmet. The signature menu features Chabre cookies with an engraved ZARA logo and Vienna-style coffee Del Ranche. Every dish is subtly presented with the Zara logo, which is impressive.
