Luxury news wrap: Beyoncé’s whisky, Sabyasachi x MET & more
Luxury is changing lanes this week, moving from whisky bottles to fashion racks and museum halls. From Beyoncé getting her whisky back from LVMH to Sabyasachi taking Indian luxury to The Met, here’s a quick look at the names and moves reshaping the luxury landscape.
Beyoncé adds whisky to her empire

Beyoncé has entered the spirits world with SirDavis, an American whisky created in partnership with Moët Hennessy. Named after her paternal great grandfather, a Prohibition era moonshine maker, the whisky combines 51 percent rye with 49 percent malted barley and is finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Inspired by Beyoncé’s appreciation for Japanese and Scotch whiskies, SirDavis brings together American tradition with a distinctly international palate. Even the bottle gets the Beyoncé treatment, with a tall ribbed silhouette and bronze horse detail nodding to her Texan roots.
Amrut unveils Kranthi

Amrut Distilleries is marking its journey through India’s single malt revolution with Kranthi, a whisky celebrating the country’s growing global presence in the category. The name itself means revolution, reflecting Amrut’s transformation of Indian whisky from an unlikely challenger into a serious global contender. The launch looks back at the distillery’s pioneering journey while signalling the next chapter for Indian single malt.
Vanaha Gin expands into Maharashtra and Karnataka

Vanaha Gin by Revelry Distillery is expanding into Maharashtra and Karnataka after collecting 16 international recognitions across the UK, Hong Kong and the US. The haul includes 15 medals and one finalist placement across taste, packaging and design. Built around a forest to bottle philosophy, Vanaha uses 24 selected botanicals and a five stage distillation process including cold vacuum distillation. The all natural, zero sugar and additive free gin is now available in Maharashtra at ₹3,600 and Karnataka at ₹3,150.
Fabletics makes its India debut

Los Angeles based activewear label Fabletics is entering India through an exclusive partnership with Reliance Brands Limited. The brand will launch its India website alongside its first mono brand store at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, followed by a Mumbai store. Known for bringing fashion into performance wear, Fabletics will offer women’s and men’s collections spanning training, running, yoga, Pilates and everyday movement.
Sabyasachi and The Met announce a landmark collaboration

Sabyasachi and The Metropolitan Museum of Art have announced a multi year collaboration bringing the museum’s extraordinary collections into contemporary Indian luxury. The first chapter will debut during New York Fashion Week on September 15, 2026, with a High Jewellery collection inspired by the Byzantine Empire. For Sabyasachi, whose universe has long been steeped in history, craft and old world grandeur, the collaboration feels almost inevitable. It is another significant moment for Indian luxury on the global cultural stage, this time with diamonds, Byzantine opulence and one of the world’s most important museums sharing the same frame.
