Each time actress and television host Malaika Arora walks the ramp, she sets it on fire. For as long as we remember she has been a diva that looks ‘Oh so perfect!’ Always. How do you select the brands you associate with?
I go by the suggestions, which are filtered, weighed in and then proposed to me by my management agency. We have worked together for years now, and they know that I select brands basis how they appeal to me. It’s very important to me that the brands stand true to their promise.

Tell us about your installation for this year’s Chivas Alchemy, themed sixth sense?
Everybody has a sixth sense. I chose fantasy because that is the most basic and carnal sixth sense that every person has, and I think we have beautifully woven it with the Chivas 18 thought process. I chose fantasy because it is one’s deepest darkest thoughts that one wants to play out. Some of it can be a reality, some of it can be a dream, and some of it can be beyond reality. It’s pretty amazing. The whole concept of fantasy really excites me. My installation at the Chivas 18 alchemy is about what it would be like to be in a Chivas 18 bottle, what it would feel, taste, smell like, and that’s what I have tried to create in my installation. It gives you a very fantastic kaleidoscopic view of fantasy.
Why did you launch Diva Yoga and how does it feel to have your own brand?
Launching a yoga studio Diva Yoga came very naturally to me. I have always been into fitness and have been practicing yoga for a very long time now. Exceed Entertainment, my talent management company, had formulated a model for me, which befits my personality and interest. It’s also an exciting business model. This is not my first time as an entrepreneur. I have been associated with Label Life as well for a while, and I am loving every bit of being an entrepreneur. It’s what I am focusing on right now
