New menus to try this monsoon across Mumbai
There is something particularly satisfying about eating through a rainy Mumbai afternoon. The city slows down just enough for a meal to become an occasion, and these menus make a convincing case for extending that occasion by another course or two. Whether it is the deep spice of a Thai curry, the numbing warmth of Mala or the familiarity of Indian flavours reframed for a contemporary table, Mumbai’s latest menus prove that the monsoon is as much a dining season as it is a weather pattern.
Pomodoro: Itameshi Menu

Mumbai pasta favourite Pomodoro takes a Japanese turn with its first ever Itameshi menu, a limited time collaboration of Italian technique and Japanese flavours. Helmed by sister duo Chefs Afshaa and Nousheen Rajqotwala, the menu finds common ground in umami, seasonality and handmade pasta.
Begin with Corn Panzanella and Chicken Karaage, before moving to Gnocchi Kaare and the standout Miso Chilli Chittara, available with katsu chicken or katsu eggplant. End with Black Sesame Panna Cotta.

Olive Bar & Kitchen: New Mediterranean inspired menu

At Olive Bar & Kitchen, the new menu travels through the Mediterranean with a distinctly indulgent point of view. European classics meet vibrant flavours and comforting plates, while a considered cocktail programme and decadent desserts make the experience as much about lingering over the table as it is about the food.
Begin with the Fungi Cappuccino before moving on to the Montanara with Chorizo and Chicken Diavola. The drinks follow their own narrative, with signatures including Mirage, Bandra After Dark and Pali Hill Punch. For the final course, the Tiramisu and Il Pane offer a suitably indulgent close.

Aahii: Mahjong Menu

At Aahii, dining takes on a playful new dimension with the Mahjong menu, an experience inspired by the balance, harmony and ritual associated with the timeless game. Evoked through delicate porcelain tiles adorning the menu, the concept turns a meal into a leisurely progression of small plates, substantial mains and sweet finales.
The journey begins with Beetroot Kebab, Sweet Potato Chaat, Paneer Malai Tikka, Tandoori Stuffed Mushrooms, Butter Garlic Prawns and the theatrical Chicken Candle. The larger plates continue the cross cultural approach with Thai Green Curry, available in vegetarian and chicken preparations, House Biryani in both vegetarian and chicken variants, and Penne all’Arrabbiata.

Nara Thai: Curry Shop Menu

At Nara Thai, the monsoon menu takes its cues from one of Thailand’s most comforting culinary traditions: curry. Created with a chef flown in from Thailand to work alongside the restaurant’s culinary team, the new selection brings together curries, noodles and small plates that favour bold spices and generous, warming flavours.
The Massaman Lamb Curry with Smoked Coconut Rice makes a compelling centrepiece, while the Southern Curry Bowl offers another expression of Thailand’s spice driven cuisine. The Spicy Rice Noodles and Seabass Fillet in Yellow Curry are equally suited to a rainy afternoon, particularly when paired with rice and something cold to drink.
For dessert, the Coconut & Pandan Pudding rounds things off with a softer, fragrant finish.
Where: Gate No. 4, B Wing, Raheja Altimus, Pandurang Budhkar Marg, Worli, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400018
When: 12 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 1 AM
KOKO: Chef’s Special Menu

Mala is not a cuisine for the timid. Traditionally pungent, tongue numbing and unapologetically intense, its appeal lies precisely in that sensory assault. At KOKO, however, the familiar heat is approached with a little more restraint.
The restaurant’s chef’s special menu tempers the raw intensity of Mala spice, allowing its deeper, warming character to come through across dim sum, seafood and wok tossed plates. The Imperial Lamb Dumpling and Mala Chicken bring the signature flavour profile to the table, while Lobster & Scallions and Mala Style offer a seafood led interpretation.
Where: Goregaon and Lower Parel,C Wing, Trade World, Kamala Mills Compound, Ground Floor, Lower Parel, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400013 KOKO
When: 12 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 1 AM
Thai Naam

Thai Naam has added a new chapter to its existing menu, spanning dumplings, small plates, mains and dessert. It is the sort of selection designed less around a single hero dish and more around the pleasure of ordering for the table.
Start with the Chicken Wonton with Burnt Chilli or the Asparagus & Spinach Dumplings with Yellow Curry before moving towards the richer plates. The Truffle Baked Crab brings a decadent edge, while the Chengdu Style Lamb and Katsu Curry Chicken offer two distinctly different routes through the menu. Dessert is decidedly worth staying for: the Matcha Crepe Cake brings a delicate, layered finish after the more assertive flavours of the meal.
Where: 7th Floor, Mansionz One, Linking Road, Khar West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400050 Thai Naam
When: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM and 7 PM to 11:30 PM
Soraia: Taste of Soraia

At Soraia, the monsoon menu turns towards Indian comfort food, though rarely without a signature intervention. Taste of Soraia is a set menu that moves through small plates, mains and desserts, bringing familiar Indian flavours into the restaurant’s more contemporary vocabulary.
The Avocado Chaat begins on a playful note, followed by the Gucchi Silk Kebabs and Truffle Chicken Tikka. The Makhni Chicken Kulcha Taco gives a familiar combination an unexpected format, while the Kashmiri Mutton Roganjosh leans into the richness that feels particularly appropriate when Mumbai is being dramatic outside. The finale is perhaps the most indulgent: Rasmalai Tres Leches, where two beloved desserts meet somewhere between nostalgia and excess.
Where: Near Race Course & Royal Western India Turf Club, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400011 Soraia Bombay
When: 12 PM to 4 PM
