The grandest Indian wedding exhibition, Wedding Asia is an annual wedding exhibition held across different cities in India. Going on for the past seventeen years, the annual wedding exhibition brings together experts from the industry to showcase products for the bride and groom, their families and the wedding party. Taking place in Mumbai, on August 9 and 10, at the St. Regis Hotel, the event saw a host of to-be brides and every one part of the bridal party pick out the best the event had to offer.
While the purpose of the event might seem like a major shopping spree, it was so much more than that. The Wedding Asia event in Mumbai saw over 5000 exhibitors, designers, artisans, and vendors, including names like Nisha by Dharmi, Gold Threads by Nisha Ajmera, Akshi Jogani, Revivify, Kavita Sangghvi, Cheena G Kumar, Urmila by Ritika & Prerna, C Mansukhlal Jewellers, JKJ Jewellers Jaipur, Golank Jewellers and Pooja Diamond.

The event served as a platform to help shoppers explore the latest trends in bridal fashion while altering each element to fit the bride’s needs and choices.
Heavily embellished ensembles, vibrant colours and patterns, contemporary silhouettes, sober pastel tones, and even light, minimalist ensembles made up the collection. Fusion and contemporary seemed to be the biggest highlight as women picked out chic saree dresses, ethnic pantsuits, and sharara style pantsuits.
Jewellery saw a mix between contemporary and ethnic pieces as brides dawdled across stalls trying to find their perfect bling, bags and shoes for their outfits. While fashion and jewellery seemed to be the main aspect of the event, this year’s exhibition saw a selection of offerings that went beyond the fashion realm. These included décor and gifting stalls among other wedding-related offerings.
