The best culinary experiences in Bengaluru this month

September in Bengaluru is beginning to look very good on a plate. The city’s dining rooms are leaning into menus with a sense of place, personality and just enough indulgence to make leaving the table feel premature. Across the month, chefs are travelling through Southern Thailand, Italy, China and Southeast Asia, while Bengaluru’s restaurants are making a strong case for the long lunch, the leisurely dinner and the drink that was definitely meant to be the last one.

In other words, Bengaluru has plans for your appetite. And they are considerably more interesting than another weekend spent deciding where to eat. Read on for our curated guide.

At NĀVU, weekends are made for lingering. Throughout September, the MG Road restaurant is serving an ever changing lunch menu every Saturday and Sunday, with seasonal produce and a kitchen that keeps the experience deliberately fluid.

The NĀVU Cheese Tart arrives with silky green pea purée and green goddess salad, while the Steak Frite Sandwich layers tender steak with caramelised onions and shiitake mushrooms. Dirty Fries bring crisp potatoes together with a rich hot honey yolk, with bacon available as an addition. The bar gives diners another reason to stay.
