The Luminaire launches a new luxe expedition in Egypt to uncover the tomb of Cleopatra

The Luminaire journey starts in Cairo, where guests will spend two nights. They will have exclusive access to behind-the-scenes discoveries at Saqqara, Egypt’s largest archaeological site, and a sneak peek of the Grand Egyptian Museum before it opens. A local Egyptologist will accompany the guests as they explore Cairo and answer any questions they may have.

Next, the adventure seekers will head to Alexandria for three nights. This is the perfect place to delve into history, with a guided investigation curated by Dr. Kathleen Martinez. Guests will be able to contextualize the theories and findings of her team. They can explore the ruins and hidden tunnels at the Taposiris Magna archaeological site. For those looking for a more hands-on experience, guests can participate in live excavation and restoration work inside the Great Temple of Osiris at Taposiris Magna’s ancient passageways.
Explore the team’s incredible discoveries with engraved coins, ceramics, and bones that have brought them closer to uncovering the final resting place of Cleopatra and Mark Antony. The question remains: will these groundbreaking revelations change our understanding of Ancient Egyptian history? Travellers can also take an exclusive tour of the Library of Alexandria with an archivist after a miraculous discovery in the tunnels.
