Gaia Gourmet by Chef Shilarna Vaze (a.k.a Chef Chinu) has collaborated with Fashion House Payal Singhal to bring a special DIY Modak Kit, GGXPSBAPPA. This kit consists of a ready-made dough, 4 fun fillings and dipping sauces. The filling flavours include Baaundri Milk Cake, Traditional Jaggery, Coconut & Gulkand, Cookie Dough and Saffron Cardamom Apple Pie. Also, indulge in smooth, pouring sauces that come in 4 variants; Traditional Basundi, Gulkand Cream, Chocolate, and Sea Salt Toffee Caramel.
If you’re clueless about how to ‘Do-It-Yourself’, you are in luck because this kit comes with a modak mould and instruction cards. And there’s also a special treat, a special edition upcycled Ganpati and a super-cute apron for babies and biggies designed by designer Payal Singhal.

“This year is going to be quite a sombre Ganpati for everyone, so why not go back to one of the most memorable traditions of any festival – the food!,” says Chef Chinu, Gaia Gourmet.
“As for the collaboration with Payal, I have known her forever and have loved her work, especially her prints. We decided to collaborate by making an upcycled little Ganpati and some cute aprons for the whole family to add to the DIY kit. It’s great that people are cooking again because of lockdown.”

Qualia by Chef Rahul Akerkar is offering a Mahastrian-style feast named ‘Ganapati Naivedyachi That’ (An Offering to Lord Ganesha). It has a range of main dishes, desserts and drinks serving 2-4 people.
There are several options for the main course to choose from; Kalya Channachi Ussal, Shengachi Aamti, Bharli Bhendi, Batatyachi Bhaji and finally the Maharashtrian festive special Aluchi Paatal Bhaji. These dishes are accompanied by Ghavane, thin savoury pancakes. The side dishes include Sabudana Vada and Vatane Bhath. The sauces include Kairichi Chutney and Shengdana Thecha. To end your meal on a sweet note, Ukdiche Modak is a significant highlight of this menu. Last but not the least, Futi Kadhi is in too.

Yogisattva has limited edition Paleo and Vegan Modaks, which are refined sugar-free. Traditional With A Twist Modak is the chef’s take on the classic Coconut Modak. While the other variants, Chocolate and Walnut Modak, Chocolate and Orange Modak and Chocolate and Acai Modak are made from organic ingredients. Each box comes with a seed paper Ganpati card that can be planted.
