Thirty floors above the city, Alta Stella makes a striking new addition to Mumbai’s dining scene, unveiled by Sanjay Duttas a rooftop restro bar that blends atmosphere with elevation. Perched atop Parinee I in Andheri West, the expansive 12,000 square foot space draws inspiration from celestial constellations, creating an immersive setting where mirrored surfaces reflect the night sky and the boundary between rooftop and stars feels almost blurred. The menu, crafted by Chef Manoranjan, balances global flavours with Indian accents through dishes such as Beetroot and Whipped Feta Croquettes, Podi Butter Prawns and Chicken Thecha Kulcha, while the bar programme introduces zodiac inspired cocktails imagined by mixologist Sidharth. Mumbai’s after work ritual finds a stylish new address with 8ish, the latest venture by restaurateur Rachel Goenka. Tucked into Nariman Point’s Express Towers, the intimate cocktail bar leans into the charm of that unhurried hour when the city begins to slow down. Designed by Shweta Kaushik of SKID, the space pairs aged wood, soft leather and warm amber lighting with a striking maroon marble bar that anchors the room. Behind it, head bartender Jishnu A J leads an ingredient driven cocktail programme inspired by ingredients sourced from across India and beyond, using techniques such as fermentation, distillation and hydrosol extraction to create expressive drinks like Familiar Stranger and The In Between.
