Where to eat & sip this month in Delhi NCR
The rain may have Delhi NCR under a permanent grey filter, but the capital’s food scene is anything but gloomy. Founders are rolling out one new address after another, from design-forward spaces that double as art experiences to fresh menus, inventive cocktails and themed dining experiences worth leaving the house for. Consider this your edit of where to eat, sip and linger this month in the capital.
Freddy Who, Vasant Vihar
The brainchild of restaurateur Bhavuk Verma, Freddy Who is where you go to experience the grandeur of hospitality, thanks to its richly layered interiors, deep oxblood lacquered finishes, polished burl veneers, and mirror detailing. The menu is rooted in modern Asian cuisine with a strong Japanese influence, moving from an extensive raw bar, sashimi and carpaccio to handcrafted gyoza, robata grills, wok-fired preparations, rice and noodle dishes, and generous large plates designed for sharing. The cocktail programme takes the cake with house infusions, thoughtfully developed ingredients and contemporary techniques that oscillate between savoury, smoky, tropical and spirit-forward profiles.
