Dubai is very well known for its fascination with gold-covered food. Right from gold-covered biryanis to gold-covered burgers, the popular city has done it once again, this time with Mumbai’s favourite fast food, a gold-covered Vada Pao.
Set in the lively neighbourhood of Al Karama in Dubai, O’Pao is known for its Indian sliders, fondly known as Vada Pao, among other popular foods from the streets of Mumbai. Creating delicious variations of the popular street treat, the menu at O’Pao includes variations like O’Cheese Burst Vada Pao, O’Hash Brown Pao and O’Chicken Vada Pao among other curations.
But it is their latest creation that has absolutely taken over the internet— a 22 Karat O’Gold Vada Pav. The dish is priced at AED 99 which comes to approximately Rs. 2000. The makers claim it is the world’s first vada pao of its kind.

Adding an opulent twist to the popular dish, the vada is filled with cheese and truffle butter while the bread is topped with a delicious spread of mint mayo. The crispy vada is then topped with premium quality French-imported 22 Karat golden leaves.
Served in a carved wooden box, the makers amped up the dish further with a nitrogen base for added effect. The dish is then served with a portion of sweet potato fries and fresh mint lemonade.
It is available exclusively at the Al Karama branch for dine-in options only.
