Out of all the things Delhi’s renowned for, one that always tops the list is the fact that its culinary scenes are always lit. Every now and then, the capital keeps welcoming a new eatery, creating a new space of endless excitement and gastronomic experiences. We recently visited some of the newly-launched restaurants in Delhi NCR, promising to set the stage for your next memorable dining experience. Read on:
Smoke House Pizzeria, DLF Avenue
Being a hard-core pizza lover, I’m always on a lookout for the best pizzerias in the city. And this quest recently ended when I got to try a variety of this Italian delicacy, served at the capital’s newest addition to the list of pizzerias- Smoke House Pizzeria, launched by the cult-favourite eatery, Smoke House Deli. As you step inside, the delightful scent of freshly baked pizzas fills the air, setting the stage for a one-of-its-kind culinary adventure. A standout on their menu is the Panuzzo— the love child of pizza and sandwich. From taste to presentation, each dish demands undivided attention. One can explore the Neo-Neapolitan category with tempting options like Burrata Chilli Jam, Siciliana, Peri Peri Chicken, and the mouthwatering Panuzzos. However, the crowd-favorite is undoubtedly, their Boozy Shakes, which highlight several unheard flavour combinations, like Gin and Mango Cheesecake, Dirty Banana, Chickoo Chocolate Vodka, Salted Caramel Whisky, and more, meticulously crafted to leave one craving for more.

Melt House, GK 2
Melt House, with its upscale comfort cuisine, offers a menu that narrates a story of culinary innovation. Classic dishes are reimagined with both global and Indian influences, resulting in creations that are not only comforting but also intriguing. Some of their best sellers include the signature Piri Piri Chicken Cheesesteak grilled cheese, thick-cut, skin-on fries, handmade stuffed pastas, French Onion soup, and the inventive Hot Flaming Cheetos Quattro Formaggio Pizza. The dessert menu is equally enticing, featuring delights like the Toffee Walnut Pudding Pancake, OG Skillet Cookie, and NYC Cookie. However, what won our hearts and kept us craving for more was their signature hot chocolate, one of the best versions we’ve tried so far! Beyond its culinary prowess, Melt House’s interior design reflects thoughtful consideration. Exposed brick walls, evocative portraits of iconic creators, and a blend of rustic and contemporary elements create an ambiance that is both inviting and inspiring. Each corner and detail tell tales of passion and creativity.

The Grammar Room, Mehrauli
The capital’s cult-favourite restaurant, The Grammar Room recently launched their new-menu which is a true celebration of locally sourced ingredients, bringing the incredible flavors of India to your plate. From gochujang made with miso from Goa to Leh berries and Dalle chilli from the majestic Himalayas, every dish tells a story of our rich culinary heritage. Immersing yourself in the magic of locally grown and seasonal ingredients, you can indulge in dishes like the tantalizing Caramel Pork Corn, the irresistible TGR Truffle Fries, the unique A Poi-Gnant Start, the flavorful Taco De Pescado, and the delightful Strawberry Tart. The savory options are equally enticing, featuring Spinach & Cream Cheese Puff, Curried Chicken Puff, and Upside-Down Tartlets. As the sunshine hits your face through their windows, the aesthetically pleasing decor makes Ledor the most apt hang out spot, offering indulgent confections from the Gateaux de Voyage menu, such as Brown Butter & Madagascar Vanilla, Carrot Cake, and the irresistible Chocolate Rocher.

Thoughtfully curated to intrigue the customers, the menu at BBR Coffee Outlet is divided into two sections: pre and post-British Raj, symbolizing the profound cultural shift during that epoch. Debunking the myth that coffee was introduced to India by the British, it showcases our nation’s longstanding coffee culture and serves as the most aesthetic date spot. Their extensive selection of 68 freshly brewed beverages, exclusive to BBR outlets, narrates a captivating tale with every sip. The black coffee packet represents the diverse kingdoms predating the British Raj (Caramel Sultanate, Mugal Mocha, Kuru Cacao, Peshwa Pomelo), while the white packet honors the ancient rivers (Bhavani Berry, Kolong Chamomile, Hindon Flora, Citrus Sarayu, Koyna Indian Filter Coffee).
