This pretty, sea-facing Goa house opens out to the outdoors and ensures privacy

Gurugram-based Studio IAAD, an architecture and interior design firm has designed a beautiful vacation home in North Goa. Called Cove, this G+1 structure is a holiday home for three Delhi-based friends.
The design brief by the clients for this 5,000 sq ft home was to create a private, peaceful sanctuary, something that’s opposite of these friends’ bustling city lives.
The sea-facing home, which has three bedrooms, two living areas, and a family kitchen, is dotted by coconut and almond trees that create a kind of a green ‘border’ around the home.
The site has been lifted by a height of six feet to level it with the arterial road.
The house is crowned with a sloping roof that tilts on its axis. The facade is a mix of concrete and textured tiles that mimics natural stone with hints of wood. This material palette is used to discourage the build-up of moss on the walls, which ensures minimal maintenance.
